I've gone to the diner twice a year for the last few years. In like the casual atmosphere and the interesting people who come in. Â The waitresses have always been really friendly and the food is okay and very reasonably priced. Usually I get a burger and fries which are pretty much what you would expect. Once I got soup and salad bar-they were okay, but not great. I've also gotten a breakfast meal--the eggs and toast were exactly as requested, but about a third of the home fries were burnt black and inedible (like rocks).
Review Source:Almost didn't eat here after reading reviews - So glad I decided to try it anyway :) The Country Fried Steak dinner was spot on. The Wife and Daughter had Bacon Cheddar Cheeseburgers and Loved them. All in all, great service and great food. We'll be here for a few days and so happy it's right next door :)
Review Source:It's pretty hard to screw up breakfast food, but it's also just a diner, nothing to fancy. On that note, stick to the breakfast or easy lunch options (things served with fries etc).
Prices are pretty low and the service isn't bad.
The best part about dining at Fifties is all of the late night FREAK SHOWS that are dining around you. I recommend going a bit tipsy for the full effect.
