Oh, ho, ho, ho Geriatrics. Â
I swooped in this place because it looked like a divey delight right before the country club I was heading to. Â It lived up to all of my expecations.
First of all, the locals are really nice. Â The bar area is huge, solid wood and in nice shape. Â There is a large dance floor and stage for awesome karaoke. Â The beers were served up cold by John the bartender. Â He was friendly, fun and certainly kept things lively.
DJ Tom aka vertigo was on the mic...kind of. Â It was possibly one of the funniest DJ moments I have seen when he came in squeaking because he had lost his voice to a terrible cold. Â Now that, my friends, is karaoke determination. Â
The night began to spin a bit downwards when I exited the bathroom to two very questionable ladies taking mirror pictures of themselves. Â Of course, I offered to assist but they informed me it is much cooler when you can see the bathroom stalls in the background (seriously). Â I am definately not that cool. Â SHOOOOOOT.
Long story short, this place is a great local dive. Â It could benefit from a few taps or unique beer selections but it is certainly a people watchers dream.
