I love figs!  While my girlfriend was pregnant  she craved the "Fig's Burger."  Since we have made this a monthly lunch place if not weekly.  The burgers are huge, juicy and packed with extras such as grilled onions, bacon, sautéed mushrooms and for a dollar more seasoned waffle fries.  Portions are large, filling, and delectable.  Call to get the specials as they change everyday.  The fried ahi, and fried chicken with gravy are my two favorites; I've never been disappointed eating here. Price is excellent especially for Hawaii and just Kohala in general!
Review Source:Probably one of my favorite meals on the Big Island. At the end of the trip, we were both sad we weren't as hungry and split the plate that we had ordered.
GARLIC CHICKEN was the bomb! By far the best I've ever had in my life. It was very flavorful, cooked to perfection with the right amount of garlic/oil. It came with rice and option of side, which of course we got mac salad.
Friendly service. The food came out quick. Good stuff. I'd totally come back here if I ever find myself on the Big Island in the future. Mahalo!
We came to Fig's after a fun day of ziplining. Â Their specials for the day were Pork Adobo and Baked Oyster Chicken. Â My daughter got the chicken, I got the pork, and the owner graciously agreed to do a combo plate of both for my husband. Â It is served mix plate style with two large scoops of steamed white rice and your choice of green salad or macaroni salad. Â It was all really delicious, and my husband could not decide which one he liked best! Â My son had a cheeseburger that he said was very good as well. Â We were the only ones in the restaurant, and the owner came by several times to see how we were doing. Â She also gave us tons of travel advice for the island, telling us about a place to go snorkeling that was off the beaten path, which road to take to get to the volcanoes - Thank you, Traci!
The next time we are on the big island, we are planning to go horse-back riding in Hawi and we will definitely be stopping in for lunch at Fig's.
