This was a great little find that we stopped in only because we saw a sign out front that caught our eye. Â I ordered the lamb burger and it was delicious (I'm a sucker for a good lamb burger!). Â Hubby and our friend ordered the fish and chips and it looked like they skimped on the number of pieces of fish, although they both said the fish was good. Â We went here early on in our vacation and hoped it was a sign of more delicious meals to come on the Big Island...and it was! Â Note: they did NOT accept credit cards when we were there so we felt really bad that we had just enough to cover the meal without leaving much of a tip :-(
Review Source:We stopped by on PURE accident!! Â We were starving on our way to the "Valley of the Sea" which by the way if you are staying in Waikoloa (Northern part of Kona) YOU MUST see this beautiful view at the end of the road. Â In any event...we decided stop here and eat and we were SOOO GLAD we did!! It was one of two of the best meals we had throughout our stay on the big island.
It is in outdoor patio with only about 3 tables so needless to say if you aren't one of the lucky ones sitting at a table then you will be waiting a while. Fresh local food is used and there is only one cook (the owner) who is the sweetest person (along with the server). Â Make sure you try the homemade passionfruit cheescake -- just thinking about it makes my mouth water!!
FYI: CASH ONLY!!!
As an added bonus there is a wonderful museum (free of charge) on the premises. Â You will pass it on your left hand side on your way to the rest room.
