This place has a lot of potential.  Since it re-opened under the new ownership (summer 2011), you can tell they are putting a lot of effort in it.  They had an attentive wait staff on hand, knowledgeable waitresses, and the food was pretty decent.  The atmosphere is a lot different now, since the old (the first Fillmor) closed down in 2008(?).  Gone is the cheap plastic see-through bar top, the bleach white walls and the generic look.  The new owners toned down the colors and made it pretty sleek.  The stage is partitioned off by tinted glass doors/walls.  The actual pub area has a lot of space, high tops, and nicely designed bar with a lot of bends and curves.  Sharp looking.

I think I saw 5 beers on tap, one of them being Capitol Brewery out of Madison and your typical domestic line-up.  Plenty of LCD tv's (42" or 47") and they had ESPN on, so that was nice.  Looks like a nice place to watch the game.

The food was decent.  I had a cesar wrap that was pretty light on the cesar sauce and the chicken was blah, but it's a lunch wrap--expectations are limited.  The fries were a-typical distributor provided (pre-packaged) fries with no character.

My friends fish fry (we were there on a friday) had a darker exterior/breading to it, which made me think the oil could stand to be changed...or they re-use their fish fryer oil every friday, which a lot of joints do.  He liked it though.  My other buddy liked his burger as well.

Typical pub fare with a pretty sweet atmosphere.  This place has potential to be a nice spot in downtown.  What they need to do is start booking some traveling acts, some regional acts---which they're starting to do.

Also, the bar's high tops were all being used (probaby 6 or 7) and only a few people at the bar--typical lunch hour crowd.

I would recommend this place for nightlife.  The food is ok as well.
