I went here with three others for lunch after the Cleveland Rock "N Roll Half Marathon. I had the fish & chips. Two others had the chicken melt and one had the chicken tenders. All were served with fries and were good, standard bar fare at a reasonable price ( $8 - 13). We also ordered an appetizer of the pretzel bites with beer cheese. That part of the order was apparently forgotten. We asked about it when the main meals were brought out. Not until after we finished did we finally get that appetizer. This at least sounds like a mini-disaster not worthy of 4 starts. But when I remarked that they were a little late, the manager/supervisor gave me back my credit card, accepted responsibility saying that is not how they operate and took care of the entire bill. NOW that is what I call customer service. We were obviously not upset about the situation and would have been fine just paying for our meals- even the late appetizer. They went above and beyond what was necessary to us in this situation and that compelled me to write my first review! Thank you Flannery's for taking care of your customers. We will be back.
Review Source:We brought a large group in for a private party. An entire room was blocked off for us, and we had no issues being seated on what looked like a busy day. This was the only good thing about the experience.
We sat down, and it took 10 minutes before someone even asked what we wanted to drink. We had to wait another 5 minutes before we even got a menu. So, 15 minutes after sitting, we've gotten nowhere which is awful because large dinner parties always to too long in my opinion anyway.
After 25 minutes, we finally put in our order for appetizers and dinner. We were told the dinners would not be put in until after our apps were done--understandable. Only issue was we did not even get the apps for over an hour after we sat down. Â
The app I dug into was the nachos. The nachos were not bad, but I was starving at that point.
At least 30 minutes later, our food finally arrives. I ordered the grilled fish tacos. Probably some of the worst tacos I have eaten in my life. The corn tortilla was cold. The inside was still warm. So, you can imagine biting a cold corn tortilla and meeting that with warm food. The fish itself was also very bland and dry. But, I guess that's my fault for ordering fish in the middle of the country.
Overall, the atmosphere was good. The beer list is crap though. Only 3 craft beers outside the your normal bud light, coors, Guinness, corona, etc. Two Great Lakes brew and a Two Hearted Ale. I might come here before or after a sporting event for one or two beers just for the atmosphere alone. Everything else about this place was garbage. One of the waitresses was very rude too.
Luckily, despite my bad experience, I didn't have to pay a dime as one of our supplier-partners picked up the meal. I would have surely complained to management otherwise.
Pan fried mozzarella was fantastic, ver unique appetizer. Fish and chips was good, not spectacular and wife's meatloaf was an original concept but a touch undercooked. Overall great service, but the meals we chose left us wanting a small touch more. Would visit again though, if I could go 3 1/2 stars I would, almost 4.
