very clean. Â very professional. Â only draw bak is some rooms customers smoke and they don't seem to have any way of regulating that. Â music selection is good. Â staff provide good service. Â you get a clean room to go crazy with your friends one song after another. Â pretty heavenly. Â price is moderate. Â but worth it, if you ask me.
Review Source:Karaoke in Queens? Â It's been a long time.
I stopped by here with some family members, but left within the hour. Â The place was clean but, the microphone sounded muffled compared to the music. Â Normally, I'd try to fix this, but we really didn't have much time to spend, so we went with it.
I've heard good things about this place, so, I'll try this place again when I have more time, but until I do, this is my rating.
After a long day of sightseeing, eating, drinking and lots and lots of walking, NRB was the perfect way to end the night! Well regardless NRB is always a GREAT way to end a night of heavy drinking! I'm from CA and was visiting NY and a friend took me here! I had SOOOO much FUNNNNNN! This place is SUPER clean again smoking is allowed inside the rooms so...people smoke... :( Price is really reasonable also!
The only thing was as we were leaving I guess some young kids got in to a fight (I guess kids are as immature on the east coast as they are on the west)...so one kid was bloody...I swore it was because I sang Tupac's Life Goes On and disrupted the East Coast vs West Coast gangsta gangsta fighting-ness! LOL. I'm sure it wasn't...LOL but I like to think it started something! HAHA. I felt so thug life status singing Tupac on the EAST COAST! HAHAHAHAHAHA!
My party of six had a great time at this karaoke joint. It's a little out of the way for people in the city, but most of us live in Queens anyway, so it wasn't that inconvenient. The entrance was a bit hidden though, since you can't enter through the store front facade that's in between these other two stores. You have to walk through the parking lot to enter. This place had opened recently and the interior definitely looked like it. When you walk in, you're surrounded by sleek wooden walls that lead you to the bar/reception and then to the right are the restrooms and all the rooms.
The room we got was very spacious for six. The karaoke system they have is pretty similar to those that they use in South Korea. There was a main gigantic television and two mini televisions that aired the same thing as the main one. This made it easier if you wanted to sing to the group without having your back face them. There were also strobe lights in the room, which pulsed to the rhythm of the music. The lights were a nice touch and enhanced our experience. While we were there, there were no problems at all, not even the technical ones that we usually encounter like too much feedback on the mics.
Their songs were pretty updated. They provide you with a book, in which you can look up songs by title or author or country of origin. However, in the back of the book are also recently added songs. They have English, Korean and Japanese songs, but it seemed like the emphasis was on English and Korean songs. If you can read Korean, you can also search for songs from the remote by title or author. If you can't read Korean, you can also ask the people at the front desk.
Their rates are pretty reasonable. For any party, base rate is 30 dollars for three people and then an additional 5 dollars for every additional person. They did not press for tip, but had a giant tip box in the front for it. According to my friend, there was a bowl of Korean candy, but I missed it so I didn't get any, but be sure to check that out as well.
Long story short: Affordable place with high-quality systems, updated songs and great touch with the lights. Two thumbs up!
