Anchor Inn

Dropped in yesterday.  Down to Earth, spic and span, no pretense.  My kinda joint.

You could chill with the real old timers here who quit the dumb stuff and just chill out here or you can chill at in-the-closet bar up the street with the homoerotic thugs up the street at Chasers and the weirdo badtender making passes at the latino guy and brendan. I'd choose the Anchor Inn.

This review is based on past history since I no longer live in Maspeth. This was the watering hole for me and may of my friends for years and years. We had been hanging out there since it opened in the 80's (yikes!) and although everyone has moved away, they still have gatherings there. This is a place to drink and hang with friends....
