The Moth StorySlam

If you have never been to a Moth StorySlam, I highly recommend that you go.  It's an evening of storytelling and fun.  Audience members put their name in a hat to get selected to tell a story on a given theme.  The stories need to be real, they need to have happened to that person (not a friend) and they are around 5 minutes long.  3 teams of judges score the story in Olympic fashion.  Winners of the monthly slams can go on to compete in a GrandSlam event.  There is a national non-profit organization that guides events all over the country and there is a radio show on WESA that features Moth stories.  I guarantee you will have fun and you will meet some great people, the Moth is unique and I think everyone should experience it.
