god, if cocktail bars were women, Death & Co is the sexy mistress who shows up at your doorstep wearing nothing but a black trench ...
AHEM .. moving on - there's definitely an understated appeal about Death & Co, whether it's the eclectic music they play, the no-BS bartenders, or maybe the fact that all of their drinks are extremely heavy on the liquor and get straight to the point - I'm not really sure how I can cherry pick the qualities I love about this place.
Easy enough to squeeze in on a Saturday night around 10PM, although don't expect a seat at the bar to come quite as easily. Still, there's nothing wrong with finding a corner to duck into.
Speaking of ducks, I left my duck umbrella here, but it was worth it.
A fun spot to try once, but not somewhere I'd frequent. We arrived at 6:00 pm on the dot to be one of the first in when they opened and avoid a long wait. The drinks were good, the bartenders fun, and the appetizers delicious. The staff seemed a little too cool for school though, reprimanding my friend and I for checking our cell phones too often because the light was disturbing (it's pretty much pitch black inside). Overall, I'm glad I've been there but I'm not racing to go back.
