I've been to a couple of movie nights here and a couple of concerts too. Everyone was so nice and welcoming... there's such a positive vibe about the place. Then I heard about the volunteer opportunities there and signed up to help seniors get on the internet. If you're looking for a fun night out, a place to make new friends, or somewhere to volunteer... this is the place for you. I've even dropped in during the week to use their free wireless, only find a cup of tea and some cake thrust into my hands! It's just a lovely place full of lovely people.
Review Source:This is a fantastic place to connect with the Irish community and a home away from home in New York City. I've come here many times for Irish movie nights and music gigs and I always have a great time. The people here - both the volunteers and the community they serve - are all so nice and friendly. I always enjoy coming to the NYIC in Long Island City!
Review Source:we are truly a Center for everyone in the greater New York Irish community. So whether you're from Ireland, have Irish ancestors, or are Irish at heart, there's a "céad mÃle fáilte" (hundred thousand welcomes) here for you! The Center is the realization of a life long dream of many in the community who longed for a gathering place for the Irish community throughout the New York tri-state area. For full details on all our cultural and educational programs please visit our website at http://www.nyirish.org
