I attended a grind-house movie here and the show was OK, the drinks good BUT what ruined it was the treatment i receive from one of the workers.
I had paid cash at the bar for what i ordered but when I was leaving i got abruptly stopped by a young thin gent and he asked me is i had paid, I said Yes and then he then asked me to come back inside (it was a weekday and I was going home to bed!), he then confirmed with the bartender that i had paid and started asking me what i had ordered. he did this with no modesty and in front of other patrons
The spot looks great but I do not think that this is the right way to treat anyone.
I will never return
I've attended two krazy Grindhouse films with 'Devil Science Theater 3000' (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.dst3k.com%2F&s=2fb0aaeda00bd18b89f89d4d6a298e8deb0c6a416955a623fdb2582e42edccca" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.dst3k.com/</a>) at The Laughing Devil Comedy Club in Queens. Both were Damn Fun, with lots of laughs & plenty of affordable booze. The waiter is friendly and attentive, although I wish he were a waitress, but hay, u can't have it all!
As the self-proclaimed 'Grindmaster' of the NYC GRINDHOUSE group on MeatUP (<a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.NYCGrindhouse.com&s=ff1dd422f074fbeb91a993b1361cdcacefbaef7c61fe1ad3910a3857efc8f20b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.NYCGrindhouse…</a>), I come out with my group at least once a month on a Thursday night to get my drink on while laughing it up and adding my voice to the ridiculous commentary of whatever strange film that Dan has picked, hopefully which includes, in the words of my mentor, Joe Bob Briggs, "the three B's' - Blood, Breasts, and Breasts"!!
