It was an okay place. It was very dingy and very small place. It had a weird smell to it too. People aren't as open and friendly here. They mostly kept to themselves or their own group. The access to the rooftop area cuts through an apartment. It's nothing fancy, just a rooftop with a couple of mismatched chairs placed around and a DJ. It was pretty nice though. They lit up fireworks themselves, which was scary, but also amazing. They were literally right above us! At times, we could feel the remnants of the fireworks on us. I thought the experience was okay; I wouldn't come here again though.
Review Source:The Place is an interesting joint. In a neighborhood devoid of a facsimilie of a Publick House this i the closest you can get. They don't know how to properly pour a pint of Guinness and the owner has a fascination with large chested hispanic ladies but the food isn't too bad and the owner is a really nice guy. Unlike other local places, they actual offer table service and take credit cards.
Almost civilized.
I just discovered this place last weekend. The atmosphere was a little weird, but it was made up for by friendly bartender (although her English needed help!) and great pizza! Will probably not be back to hang out, but will certainly order pizza from there. Much better than other options in Greenpoint!
