YES. THIS PLACE.
We came here because my kind of big boyfriend was getting sick of being bumped around my millions of people in all the trendy bars.
The juke box has some great music and some terrible music (a guy played Bon JOvi twice in a ROW and put on sunglasses to rock out in peace.) There is also a lot of Polish music which was nice to see.
Drinks are cheap, crowd is pretty nice if you are not a douche. The bartender is great.
I kind of don't want to review this place because I don't want people to stop being too scared to go in. I want to keep it to myself. I second Elizabeth G "This place is consistently cheap, quiet, and just weird enough to keep us entertained.".
$4 beers, but mediocre selection $10 mixed drinks -- not such a good deal.
It's dancing-friendly, which is cool. there's a jukebox. it's relatively well-lit. there's no food. it's nothing to boast about and you have to take the G to get there.
warning: there was a douchebag who tried to get me to go to the men's bathroom when i asked if there was another part of the bar that wasn't immediately visible. i guess frat boys are everywhere these days.
