Service - excellent, they have the patience to try 4-5 wines before you pick the one you want.  They also have no problem customizing dishes.  They are very flexible and laid back.

Wine & cheese - The wines are awesome, the cheese plates are the best I have ever had anywhere in NYC.  This is my favorite wine/cheese place in NYC; even though it is slightly inconvenient for me as a non-Greenpoint resident to get to (I loath the G train), I frequently make the trip.  

Main courses:  the spicy salami panini is awesome.  Actually, I have never had anything hear that is not good.  They've added a few healthy options too recently such as a beet salad that tastes really fresh, etc.  Everything is fresh.

Desserts - this is the only place I get crepes from.  They are always done perfectly with a little crunch to them.  They also have meal-type crepes, such as cheese-asparagus-chicken that are really good.

Overall - one of my favorites places in NYC.

Good cheese and charcuterie choices.  Live acoustic music began at 9 on Friday. Romantic space.  Perfect for drinking some wine and having appetizers.

I like the gypsy jazz band but this place is always empty. The stupid name seems to transmit the message that this place will close any day now.
