No table service when we came, so standing around waiting and waiting for service was by far the least fun part of our evening. Ordered the jerk chicken plate - pretty good value ($12 I think) and tasty. The burger was small and forgettable for $10, but not bad. They were out of the ingredients for two cocktails I ordered, so I went with something else and hated it. I ordered something different and thankfully one of the bartenders stopped the one serving me from charging me for it. Â Got a pitcher of Brooklyn Ale for $15, damn good deal! The outdoor space was full on a Tuesday at 7pm and I expect its crowded on the wknds. Â I will definitely be returning and am excited to try their other drink specials ($3 mimosas sat-sun till 4pm, among others). Â Welcome addition to the 'hood (and replacement to Loreley)
Review Source:This bar is totally chill, inviting and spacious. Perfect for groups and day drinking.
My first visit was on a weekend during the recent extreme heat wave, thus the outdoor patio area was pretty much inhabited and most people were hanging out in the indoor space. Battery Harris offers a pretty good list of beers, simple cocktails, and some wines on tap. The rose and Chardonnay/Riesling they had on tap were both pretty good, as was the Doc's cider which quenched my thirst. Unfortunately we weren't able to try some of the awesome sounding food such as the coconut cornbread and jerk chicken wings as the bf and I visited right after a hearty late brunch nearby.
The people who work here are very friendly as well, not at all pretentious or snooty. Another thing Brooklyn has over the city, I suppose.
