I'm a big fan of the Fox and Hound/Bailey's Sports Bar and Pub chain. This is the 3rd one that I've visited and I have always enjoyed the atmosphere. They all have the exact same layout with multiple pools tables, shuffleboard, checkers, ping pong, and some video games. The neat thing is that you can watch UFC fights here (costing $10 per head) and not have to wait for an hour before the fight just to get a seat. There are many bar games to play here that are free and unless you show up after 11, there probably won't be a wait on most nights.
The serving staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about alcohol and the menu. The girls are cute and it's great for the college aged crowd as long as you're over 21. Some nights have a classier atmosphere and maybe an unwritten casual dress code, but that is not at all a rule as a lot of people will dress in t-shirts and jeans.
During happy hours, the drink prices are pretty fair. There are shooter girls who linger around the place at night when it gets busy which is always a great idea. I think I recall a cigar booth as well, or at least there used to be one. The bathrooms are clean, usually containing mouthwash.
The food is typical bar food, nothing too special about it really. If you're a vegan or vegetarian, you may want to eat before you come here because there aren't very many menu items that accommodate your lifestyle.
Only played pool. Rates are good. Servers came by on a regular basis to check on us. Not too loud in the pool room. Many giant tvs in there but all muted. Music on was a bit loud but I liked the atmosphere. Â Seemed clean. Â Cant comment on food or drinks as I had neither. Â May make this my standard billiard hall next time in in the area.
Review Source:The server couldn't get our order right. We asked for mozzarella sticks, we got chips and queso. I'm a vegetarian, so I asked for "no bacon" on the quesadillas. I received quesadillas with chicken AND bacon. We had to ask another server for assistance because our server had disappeared and he explained that the beans are made with bacon -- so "no bacon" isn't an option. I am fine with that if she'd only explained it when I asked. And I've no idea where the chicken came from, since it costs extra and I didn't ask for it.
And this was my 3rd visit to the restaurant. Each of my visits has been similar. We won't be going back.
Okay, I came across Fox and Hound Restaurant while tagging along with a group of friends from work one Thursday. Â Apparently this is a weekly pilgrimage by my coworkers because on Thursdays you can get a FnH card double punched and basically get a free lunch every 3 weeks. Â You can buy a decent lunch meal for $5 and some change and on the third week turn in your card for a little bit better lunch for $8 value. Â On top of that you can play pool, darts, golf video game (not free), and shuffle board for free. Â The pool tables are well maintained and well lit and are regulation size, very cool. Â I highly recommend going there for lunch with a group from work on Thursdays.
I have gone there the past two Sundays at 7pm to play free Texas Hold'em poker. Â They use a point system, so based upon how you place each night, after 4 weeks whoever has the most points wins $100. Â That is okay, but I am used to going to bars in Alaska that paid $1 per head each night and also had qualifications into bigger dollar tournaments. Â With the amount of alcohol I consume, this 4-week point system probably won't pan out. Â Only 14 players showed up the first night and only 11 tonight. Â I placed 8th both nights, so if I can kick some ace the next two Sundays I might have a chance. Â Good people though, and overall a nice evening. Â After 9pm you can play pool for free on those nice tables. Â The first Sunday I was there a big group of off-shift Best Buy employees showed up, but tonight it was not all that busy. Â
Eye candy wise, not too bad, nice young crowd and women in their youth are naturally attractive...regardless of their true looks that are revealed in time...by God's design I suppose :-). Â Maybe I just had too many pints...
A pretty classy place that has invested some money for your comfort, they have an excellent ventilation system to suck the cig smoke out. Â Smoking and drinking over the tables is restricted to keep them in nice condition. Â Heck, the bathrooms have mouthwash in them.
The lunch crowd on Thursday had a lot of business casual and suit/ties types in there. Â It is really a testosterone temple with all the recreation options and dozens of plasmas showing sports, sports and more sports. Â You can even sit down and play some checkers on some nice boards built into some of the wooden tables.
In honor of Dumb and Dumber," I like it alot!". Â Highly recommend it...cu there.
