Mmmmm...the zucchini pistachio pancakes and bananas foster French toast are so good!  And I could eat that bacon all day long!  A new brunch favorite for my family.

Food was AWESOME! Traditional favorites with a gourmet twist.  Their pistachio zucchini pancakes are to die for. Great coffee and great prices, best breakfast food I've had in aurora, will defiantly be coming back. A lot like snooze but much less expensive, same quality but much faster

I am so so so so glad that there is a French Press in Aurora. SOOOO glad. Ever since we went to the one in Lakewood, I've been dreaming/drooling over their lattes and zucchini pistachio pancakes.

This time around, the boyfriend and I went with the breakfast burrito and pear almond pancakes. The burrito was HUGE. The pancakes were so delicious. Subtly sweet and I love the honey butter that they put on the side. I also got a strawberry kiwi italian soda and loved it too.

The service is friendly/amazing. Love this place. Pretty sure it's not good for my wallet/waistline that it's so close and accessible to me now. Because I sure do dream about this brie/pear panini or the strawberry panzanella. Yes.

I've been going to this place for breakfast for several weeks and it's rockin! I noticed it has been getting busier, good job Aurora for supporting a local business! The counter staff are still as friendly as ever and the food is still superb. I can't wait for spring to get here so I can enjoy the patio seating. Thanks again French Press for giving me a reason to get up early!

Surviving and thriving among Starbucks shops is not easy for the few locally owned coffee shops in my neck of the woods, and I have recently vowed to find and support them as much as I can. The French Press is great. On a Thursday early afternoon, it was bustling, people coming in and out, friends meeting for lunch, a book club deep in conversation, loners like me working on laptops. It wasn't too busy, though, that I couldn't find a table. The barista had great energy and attitude; my order came right away. I was grateful that she served my croissant and latte in real china. Both were delicious. Wi-Fi nice and fast. There is a huge chalkboard with innumerable food items (breakfast, burger, salads). Will come back and bring friends :).

Enjoyed my first time here.  Never thought I would like apple sausage, but turns out I like apple sausage.  So I am excited to go back and try other new things here.  The cashier suggested we could call in orders also.  Sweet.  My new favorite breakfast takeout!  Not that I had one before, but still.  I am happy this place is close to home in Aurora.  Quite the pleasant surprise.

Yummy! Plus close to my house. I will be back! Only complaint is I don't like ordering at the counter.

Finally, a unique coffee shop/cafe in this area that has plenty of seating, a gourmet b-fast and lunch menu at fair prices--especially for the high quality food and coffee drinks with healthy options too--and a casual atmosphere. Meet your friends here or bring a book/computer and chill. As a resident, I can say this part of Aurora has been waiting for the French Press and welcomes this business with open arms. After just one visit, I already plan to become a frequent customer.

Excellent breakfast/brunch spot.  We tried a variety of items from the large menu and everything was delicious.  Friendly service and great food, can't complain about that.  The interior needs a couple dollars spent to make everything nicer, but it didn't detract from our great breakfast.  I recommend it.

This place is AWESOME. Major upgrade to Latta's even though they were good too! I have no sampled several of their selections. Great place, great service, and impeccable food.

Their baked goods are moist, delicious, and different than usual baked goods. I had a few turnovers with peaches and cream, cherry purses, and some other type of stuffed pasty with apples. The only problem is that they usually sell out of these by the afternoon!

In terms of ambiance and feel of the place it is very relaxed and gives the feel of a cozy bookstore. But, this isn't just a place to have a pasty and a coffee. Their breakfast and lunch selections are great. I have tried the huevos rancheros and the crab bennies. Both professional created with homemade breads. The juevos rancheros sauce was so good our baby was licking up every last morsel with her fingers.

I got a few sandwiches to go for lunch and I love the fact that you have several healthy side selections such as the fresh salad with a great pistachio dressing. I had the Reuben with their own apple-sauerkraut.  I just subbed turkey for roast beef for the same awesome effect. Rye was homemade with perfect combination of soft and crispy toasted exterior. I also had the turkey melt which was equally as good, but I've settled into the turkey Reuben as my usual now,

They don't have traditional waiters, but the counter servers will bring your food right to your table as you are ready, so make sure to tip them at the counter for all they do!

Finally! Amazing, unique, breakfast in Aurora! This is NOT a place for a quick meal. Take your time to unwind and enjoy the food.
    This is my new favorite!

I would like to tell everyone about a new breakfast/lunch restaurant I recently discovered in Aurora,Colo. called The French Press Cafe and Bakery. Aurora has been in need of quality restaurants for a long time. This restaurant is clean and comfortable, the food is delicious.--my favorite is the Pear and Almond Pancake breakfast, with eggs and some yummy tasting bacon. For lunch try the Strawberry Panzanella--Spinach tossed in pistachio balsamic dressing with grilled foccata bread, red onions, crushed pistachios, marscapone cheese, and sweet strawberries.
Be sute to check out this new restaurant--- you won't be dissapointed!!

My grandmother and I decided to try out a new place this morning and have heard great things about this quaint little French destination.  I was quite satisfied and will be returning! The food was delicious and served picturesque as if right out of a top-noche  dining magazine.  We both enjoyed the bennies, potatoes were perfect and the dish was creamy and perfect.  The vanilla lattes were yummy also!  I hope as more revenue comes in, the owners may consider making it a bit more cozy as far as seating arrangement and ambiance. Overall, well done!

So this place is in the same building as the Lattas Bagels; Lattas sold their operation to this new restaurant/cafe. The interior is much more open and there is more seating available. Service was great; they were friendly and it was quick. The gal behind the counter noticed it was my first time (since my friends were telling me what to do and the differences between Lattas and The French Press), and brought a menu over to me for me to look at.

I tried the blood orange hot tea and it was a very nice flavor. I also had the ham & cheese croissant and it was yummy. Prices were average. I will return to this place again and try more menu options. I was a bit sad that they don't have the bagel selection Lattas had, however there is a new Einstein's Bagel less than five miles away at Hampden/Tower

Caution: don't lean or get to close to the chalkboard below the counter where you order your food or the chalk will rub off on your clothing.

They had good portion size, and an interesting menu. The service was great. The bacon was sweet, which is good, but they combined it with a lot of pepper. I had the Bennies, the potatoes were surprisingly good, but their hollandaise was nothing special. Good variety of coffees and Teas that come from boulder. This place is a little more expensive, should have two dollars signs not one.

Such a delightful place! Had a sandwich (vegetarian ruben) and relished every bite! So glad to have this place close to my office and look forward to trying more items on the menu.

Just read about this place in the Post. I think we found a great place for coffee AND food. I hope they decide to stay open longer.
This is out of the way, but we'll be here often.

Oh! You meant closed as in Latta's is no longer here! I thought all of these reviews were bummed because of Latta's early hours... Well now I know!
    BUT
French Press Café took their location, & this was my (sincerely sweet) experience:

As I am not from here, I was looking for Latta's in all the corner strip malls.
Finally, I found 15290 w/ a "French Press" banner. Remaining hopeful, I go in thinking maybe they just changed their name. Nothing on the menu seemed to suggest bagels.
A guy seemed to notice my concerned face while re-reading the chalk-written menu. I asked about Latta's. He said they closed at the end of July, but if I had my heart set on bagels he could point me to another bagel spot down the road!

    1. He noticed that something wasn't right.
    2. He was willing to make it right -even if it meant directing "business" elsewhere.

I looked at a printed menu regardless. His willingness to let me go only wanted me to stay more.
They had a gingerbread latte special: medium for price of small. Which I took advantage of. I found it quite tasty, but as a disclaimer, I'm no coffee connoisseur.
I ordered the breakfast veggie wrap/burrito. For $5.50 I was shocked at the size! It gave Chipotle a run for its money --& since Chipotle doesn't have breakfast burritos, there's no competition.

My brother was debating between the buckwheat (gluten free) pancakes & the zucchini pancakes. I asked what he decided on & was bummed to hear he picked the buckwheat pancakes (our family has a tradition of trying everyone's food).
Our drinks came out & then the food came out. 1 minute later a 3rd plate with one pancake came out... He didn't even say anything! I had to stop him from walking away, "Wait! What is this?!?!"
    "It's a zucchini pancake."
"Ah! You're so great!!! Thank you!!"

    3. He brought out a pancake, that I only told my brother I wanted to try, at his own will.

Ladies & gentlemen, it was SO good! A little niceness went such a long way. I'm definitely ordering the pancakes next go-around. Both of the people working the front were nice & I was already planning on leaving a tip in the jar, but that deserved a little more.

Come to "Latta's" & have the bliss of ignorance of never knowing why Latta's was all about. French Press Café is a great replacement.

    P.s. super vegetarian friendly!

P.p.s. And if this establishment is always looking for ways to improve, my positive criticism is this: a vegetarian version of biscuits & gravy would probably be a hit (I'm always looking for a good veg. white/peppercorn gravy & I can't be the only one).

The food is amazing and the coffee is unexpectedly tasty. I will confess the prices seem a dollar higher that you would hope, but its is definitely worth the small premium.

Just found this great shop with some friends. They make amazing coffee, and offer lots of great food for breakfast and lunch. They also have lots of gluten free options, which is wonderful to find outside of Denver.
