I had delivery today and I will buy from them again. When I called, I felt like I really was talking to someone. The food is great--the cake box keeps everything clean. Portions are good. The whole thing was great.

My girlfriend came over and we got a delivery from Friendship Restaurant.

She had searched a great Chinese place for me because I was craving Asian food.

It was the prettiest Chinese delivery I've ever gotten.
The food came in a cake box, everything nicely packed no sauce dripping or exploding. I was impressed and excited.

We got the eggplant and mushroom, sesame chicken and pork dumplings.
The dumplings were AMAZING. The skin was really doughy and I'd feel like that's not a good thing but it was really tasty. I was happy eggplant and tofu had other veggies in it too since some Chinese places don't give you anything other then eggplant and mushroom when the menu says eggplant mushroom. The portion was big and we couldn't finish it all.

Minus points because they didn't bring us fortune cookies...
From the yelp reviews in the other locations I was looking forward to the chocolate fortune cookies...

There was also a $3 delivery fee.
They had said it would take 45 minutes to deliver but they got here in 25 minutes!

Don't go to Friendship if you expect to use the http://restaurant.com certificate you bought and paid for - Friendship will not honor the certificate. (It was bought on 11/29/10, so it's not like the certificate had expired.) Chef returned to China, best items no longer on the menu, and the food is very mediocre. Too bad. It is a pretty place.

Cool Dusable harbor location. Very good Chinese and gelatto. Next time I'll try the sushi.

Many people breeze by on the lakeshore path without noticing the building, which was the intention of the architect, and great for you, but perhaps not so great for the business owner.

It's not in Michigan City, IN... Its in DuSable Harbor in Chicago

Well I have to start off this review by giving the journey to find this place. Somehow, by the digital inspiration of millions of Google satellites my girl and I ended up on Delaware St. in River North trying to find this place. No maps, no divine inspiration helped me find this place. So I decided to call and figure this thing out...

The lady who answered mentioned that this location was brand new and many people struggled to find the new spot. DuSable Harbor was the locale, and it was mentioned to go to Randolph and take a left down to the lake... Hmm... I though as I tried to use my mental GPS and get there. We parked a few blocks away by Grant Park and ended up traversing down some steps and walking down Lower Randolph, quite similar to the scenes of The Dark Knight.

Finally walking down on the Lakeshore trail I saw a quaint little building called... you guessed it... DuSable Harbor. Not really any parking close by, but if your strolling down the trail by Navy Pier I am sure you will find it more convenient.

The hour or so adventure there was actually worth the trip. The pineapple and shrimp fried rice was on point. Also, the tofu dish was crispy and savory... quite nice to distract someone who is not a vegetarian. If you are on the trail, pick this place out and give it a try... grabbing a seat by the harbor is quite a nice place to eat the food and sweet talk the ol' lady. All the seating is outside by the harbor and the restaurant is pretty much a kitchen with a cash register. I just give it 4 Stars instead of five because we almost got hit by a car coming down Randolph!

Oh... its BYOB too!
