Gets crowded in here and I came with a group of friends on a Wednesday night. The music in here was upbeat and kept the vibes going. Comfy seating which was perfect because all you wanna do is lounge when you're after all at a hookah lounge. The coal guy made frequent rounds and changed out coal before we could even begin to think we needed more--we didn't even have to ask it was great. Great service, great quality flavors, good vibes. I Would come back again but I'm still hungry for a lounge with more to offer.
Review Source:The inside definitely looks a hell of a lot better than the outside. Red lights everywhere, great music, and really comfy seats. Loved the booth we were put in. The bouncers outside and our servers were extremely nice and friendly. Loved the ambiance of this place and loved the hookah. Had a great time! Only con would be the price. For 2 people, 1 hookah, 2 bottles of water, the price came out to around $40. Yikes!
Review Source:I will NEVER EVER EVEEERR come back to this establishment again.
My boyfriend wanted to be cute and decided to take me out to this hookah bar. Â He read the 1st review on here from Katrina T. that said "Probably one of the BEST hookah lounges I have ever been to" and he was instantly sold!
I, however, read the real reviews on Yelp and didn't want to go because they were pretty much trying to be a "club" in Anaheim by making you wait in line for over an hour for some hookah. Â But I mustered up my "club" rationale, put on a cute dress, and went with it.
JUST like the Yelp reviews said, we waited in line for an HOUR. Â An HOUR for a hookah bar in a dumpy little strip mall. Â Umm....excuse me...why am I waiting in line for hookah? Â This isn't a club, nor is it a bar/club. Â It's boring old hookah. Â I bucked up and waited because my boyfriend reeeally wanted to go here.
To get into the door in a timely manner, you pretty much have to know someone or be related to someone, come here every day, AND speak Arabic to bypass the line and get in. Â You wait and wait and wait in line, just to have someone exchange words to the bouncer in another language and get ushered right in. Â We turned around to see that the once long line behind us was completely gone. Â Either they were able to jump the line or left due to the wait.
We finally made it in (keep in mind, there were only 3-4 parties ahead of us) and were placed at a side booth literally next to the DJ. Â We were told to sit on a torn up leather couch (remember those field trips as a child on the school bus with the torn leather seats? Yea, it's worse than that..) with 6 other people. Talk about a fire hazard! Â I wound up knocking over someone's hookah and burning my tights because it's so cramped in there!
Now, the one thing that I will give them rave reviews for is the DJ. Â That DJ knows how to spin some really good music!
As for the reviews about dancing, there was NO dancing. Â Anytime that a good song came on and someone wanted to dance, one of the workers would rush over and tell them to sit down. Â It happened TWICE, once to a black guy and the other to some white guys. Â But a middle eastern guy gets up and starts dancing, and nothing is said.
Call me crazy, but I'm pretty sure they're sliiiiightly racist here.
I decided not to try any of the food here but everyone else around us purchased tea. Â I asked for a water and they gave me bottled water. Â Wanna know how much a 12oz bottle of water costs here? EIGHT (that's right, 8!!) DOLLARS!!
DO NOT PURCHASE WATER HERE!!
I pretty much couldn't have a good time based on everything that occurred. We quickly paid our outrageous bill and bounced.
Don't waste your time!
GOOD AND THE BAD - The two best things about this place are the decor (all red and sexy) and the quality of the hookah. I wish I could say the same thing about the service. I don't know why I'm so hung up on service lately, but I feel like it's a no-brainer at a hookah place to have good service. I've been going to hookah lounges for many years off and on, and if there's on thing I know is that hookah is all about the timing!! If your hookah gets ashy, the guy should come around and replace the coals for you. We had to wait around a lot for this to happen. Our waitress was pretty nice and friendly though.
DECOR - The decor is really nice, probably the nicest I've ever seen at a hookah lounge, with inverted umbrellas and nice lanterns everywhere. It vegas had a hookah lounge, it would probably look like this. The fireplace on the tv screens cracked us up.
$$ - There was a group of 15 of us, and since they have a rule of 1 hookah per 2 people, we had to get 8. With tax and everything it came out to about $10 per person which is not bad at all. Our group had the corner booth area so we all fit comfortably and hung out there.
MUSIC - There was a dj who played  lots of hip hop which I absolutely LOVED. You don't hear this kind of music in clubs anymore. He even played some persian/arabic music and some of us danced around the lounge with these other Middle-Eastern looking people! It was fun!
HOOKAH - Really good quality hookah. They were probably using Starbuzz or equivalent. I could taste all of the flavors, unlike some places when you can barely taste it. My favorite flavors were white peach, blue mist and double apple.
If I had written this review based off my first few experiences, I would have given Fusion 5 stars and raved about it. When I first discovered this place, via Yelp, I was really impressed. My friend and I came here on a Wednesday night, which was their International Night. We had such a good time, we came back the following evening, where they hosted a DJ mixing popular EDM hits. Both nights were a lot of fun and we had a great time.
My last few visits, however, have been less than satisfying.
Depending on what day and time you go, there is a pretty ridiculous line outside (usually on weekends past 10 PM). I've waited in line twice and for over an hour each time. I've never had to wait in line for hookah, but when I finally got inside, I realized it was more than just hookah; Fusion transformed into a club. People were dancing everywhere. It's really entertaining to watch, but when you get stuck in the middle of it, it's kind of annoying. Not to mention all the safety hazards that come with drunken women dancing in 6" heels around hookahs. There are coals on hookahs. When hookahs get knocked over, so do coals. Coals will burn you. To the owners of Fusion, it's probably not the wisest idea to let people dance around hookahs. Just a tip. I've seen bad things happen to good people. Also: lawsuits.
The line alone is enough to keep me from coming back here. They should really consider taking reservations, having time limits, or simply expanding their space. You should not have to wait an hour and a half in line for hookah. And honestly? It's really not worth it. The hookah is good, but there are plenty of hookah lounges nearby with little to no wait. Also, 2 people per hookah is a little extreme. 3 is standard. And the coal service isn't up to par with most lounges I've been to.
I would come here around 6/7 PM on a weekday when it's empty. But beyond that, I'll pass. If I want to go to a club, I'll go to a club. At least then I wouldn't be attacked by the possibility of flying coals.
Fusion Ultra Lounge is the shizzle. Â I've been there soldier style(army of one), with my girl, with friends, enemies, etc...they are ALWAYS consistent. Â I don't wait in line long, good music, and GREAT hookah. Â I wouldn't say it's cheap, but it's not as expensive as touristy places in Hollyhood either. Â I definitely recommend this place!!!! Â I would of given it a 5, but there's no alcohol.
Review Source:Fusion went from being somewhat chill to smoke to simply a pretentious wanna-be lounge hotspot. As I mentioned before it offers belly dancing, good music, and a chill atmosphere. But for what they make up in all that, they lack in courtesy, service, and space.
Ok, so they can't do anything about space but it's ridiculous to have people stand in line 15-45 minutes just to get in the joint. But then again, I guess the fault lands on the hipsters and posers.
This place can certainly do without the attitude; as I came up to the manager to simply ask for the wait time, all I got was sneer from the manager who gleamed at me with this response: "What are you doing here? Please stay behind the line!"
It actually disappoints me to give it one less star than my previous review because I was actually going to increase it for the recent visits that were actually pleasant.
I've been coming here since before they remodeled... the service used to be amazing back then and right after they remodeled... as a loyal customer you would think the customer service would continue to be exceptional....but not so much.
I came here on my birthday with a group of 15.. as I usually bring a big group. apparently since the last time I had been there, a new policy of refills every hour had been implemented. We weren't planning on staying much longer and our hookah's were still hitting great. We even offered to pay extra if they just let us finish out our night in 15 min. Nope!! Not to mention the couples that didn't smoke had to pay  as if they were smoking just to be there.
I got forced out on my own birthday. As someone who loved fusion ultra lounge and has been loyal for so long- i was shocked at this treatment. The decor is great, the owners are cool, but the customer service has definitely gone down hill in the past year. Haven't been back since.
Dear ass**** bouncer,
So when you told meeting I was beautiful as I was leaving I thought you were being nice so I politely responded with, "Thank you."
But then you thought you were being hot s***/clever and said, "No, I was kidding. You're f****** ugly," I almost went back to punch you in the face to let you know that I heard. But unlike you, I try to conduct myself with class.
I am a paying customer. Â I didn't make any trouble. Â I was polite and tipped. I WAS having a good night. And now you have lost a customer. Maybe it's because I'm not middle-Eastern or I just don't fit your idea of beautiful, regardless you are had no right to say that. If the business owners see this I hope they reprimand you.
Probably one of the BEST hookah lounges I have ever been to.
Fusion Ultra Lounge is located in a little plaza in which you would never ever expect this place to be as great as it turned out to be. It is in a corner so from an outsider's point of view....you're like great...is this place even going to be good? and YES INDEED IT WILL BE GOOD!
The moment you step into this place you're like in amazement by how awesome/glam it looks! It honestly feels like this place could be better off as a night club! It could get packed but still. I liked the dim lighting of the place and how they accessorized the place with really cute decor. It just gave the place a really pretty look.
There are booths where you can hookah at or like tables to grab a couple cocktails and dessert. I have never been to a hookah place that offered desserts! And they're decent tasting as well. There is also a DJ who spins really really good music. Gets you in the mood to dance!
The hookah itself is so smoooth. Not harsh at all! I loved it because their hookah is so flavorful and literally captures the taste it is suppose to. My friends and I shared the Pineapple flavored hookah and the Strawberry Margarita. My favorite was the Pineapple and because it is actually served in a REAL pineapple! It was so addicting. I kept hookah-ing until I got light headed lol.
Their stuff is good shizzz. It isn't janky hookah! I'd come back here every time I am in Orange County. Great chill spot!
We went on Friday November 2 , guess who was there  DJ EVER , hookah , room to dance , and him can't get any better we stayed till 3:30 . The vibe , and the way they run the place is  so smooth . Best time ... Thank you fusion , I was suppose to be in Vegas and that just made up for it . We will back for sure .
Review Source:Fusion Ultra Lounge is hands down the best hookah bar/lounge in Orange County. The customer service is exceptional & their whole staff is extremely friendly...I would def recommend to come hungry because their sliders are to die for! Craving something sweet their smoothies always get the job done! If you're a hookah fanatic try the pineapple bowl make sure you ask for the ice tips for a smooth hit. This place is always a good time from a chill weekday to a nonstop party on the weekends with some talented DJ's that will make you want to get out of your seat.
Review Source:Good ole Fusion ultra lounge, What can I say, this spot rocks, you got hookah, fine girls, great food, and bad ass dj's spinning there on the reg!! The actual spot is a very spacious low lit elegant looking club.
The guys that run this spot (Enas, Mo) are way cool and do everything to keep this place fun, hip, and safe for everyone to have fun and it shows! The caliber of girls are off the scale and very approachable, the music is dope as Fusion brings in all the top DJ's L.A. and O.C. have to offer!
Hookahs are ablaze at Fusion, so if you haven't tried it and have an open mind I highly suggest it, it's very mellow and flavorful. Fusion has a ton of flavors to choose from and a friendly staff to get you going. If you have tried hookah then I don't need to tell you. So i'll just say, You will be happy!! They also make Food there that's actually really good!
All in all, cool staff, sexy girls, great hookah, Top nothch DJ's, Oh Yeah did I mention they are open till 4am!! C'mon This is a dream come true, If you're gonna go, I suggest Saturday Night!!
Fusion Ultra Lounge is awesome! I've been going here for a couple of years now and I've enjoyed almost every experience! The hookah is great quality and the atmosphere of the lounge is awesome. The DJ's are great and play music that is up-to-date and fun to dance to. The staff is also nice; the girls working there are fairly attractive. The owner is an absolute dear and if you make an effort to talk to him and introduce yourself to him he will make an effort to seat you faster next time you are in line. On weekends this place is packed with the most friendly people!
On the downside, I personally don't like the 1 hookah for every 2 people rule. If you come with 5 people and the fifth person does not want to smoke they will make you order an extra hookah anyway. This is disappointing especially when I take my non-smoker friends there. The line is usually long in the weekends, so I would recommend getting there around 11. If you're a small group of girls (2-3) prepare to get hit on by creepy men. Other than that it is a great place and I would definitely recommend it!
Pros
Dj Lenny sp? Was amazing like wow
Atmosphere was good, nice ambience. Kept the party going all night
hookah was good
Parking ok
Cons
Location in the back corner of a shopping center outside kind of dirty
Horrible horrible line one of those you must no somebody situations waited for about 30 min
Spent about $40 for 2 ppl hookah must pay for a refill every hour but really they refill you more often than that and then charge u per refill.
They don't split checks
No cups of water only bottled and they don't serve alcohol.
Bathrooms NASTY
Service was good from the bouncer but not so good from the waitress and management (except for when you get mad)-weird
Overall, had a good time once I got in because the music was bangin but they really need to work on some things
Came here for my first time at a hookah lounge with a friend who hooked it up since he's good friends with the DJ on Thursdays.
I went with the blue mist yelp recommendations and was glad I did. It was unmistakably smooth and although my friend told me the blue mist flavor would only last the first 10 minutes, I tasted it the whole time through. And frankly, other flavors didn't compare. The double apple was just too much for me after trying the blue mist.
The servers were pretty attentive to most of the customers as far as I could tell, replacing the coals frequently.
I could definitely tell this was a..."classy" joint. The irony of that statement lol. I can only describe this place as the luxury go-to after work watering hole for the local elite mobsters.
But this is definitely a fun place. Most of the people that come here are regulars, very friendly, and know how to have a good time. It's also a great place to make some important connections, especially if you're looking for people who can throw a good party. My DJ friend got so many offers to send in his mix CDs.
Not sure how reservations here work since I came with the DJ, but the lounge didn't clear out even a little bit until around 1AM and I got there at 10ish. So make sure you plan ahead to reserve yourselves and some friends a couch!
One of the best and nicest hookah lounges I've ever been to! Very classy and friendly atmosphere!
The couches are very comfortable, music plays all night long and is not too loud to where you can't carry a conversation with the person next to you. The staff is very friendly!
Aside from the atmosphere, THE HOOKAHS ARE AMAZING!!!!! you can actually taste the flavor and the quality! I recommend the Moe's Mix or Blue Mist.
This is by FAR the nicest, cleanest, organized, and POPPING hookah lounge i have EVER been too. Â All the employees are nice, patient, and they constantly come and check on you to see if everything is doing ok. Â The price is PERFECT for the experience you actually get from there. Â This place is my new hangout spot FOR SURE. Â If you want your hookah to taste good and stay fresh Fusion will take good care of that for you, they are really good at what they do and they never seem to disappoint me nor my friends. Â
Their DJ is also bomb he has great taste of music and he isn't the type of "DJ" that just plugs in his ipod and pressed the "play" button he actually DJ'S!
Go there and experience it for yourself, and then you will see what i am talking about, you won't be waisting your money and time there i can asure you of that.
I went to this place last weekend after a birthday party and LOVED it! Hidden in the back of a (very Middle Eastern) strip mall, it's completely unassuming. Don't be discouraged by the line; it moves fast.
I highly recommend getting your hookah with a pineapple or apple. It gives it an amazing flavor combo and helps the flavor last longer, too. I don't think it's on the menu, but just ask!
Other recommendations are the Blue Mist and White Peach flavors, and be sure to get some mint tea, which goes hand-in-hand with hookah-smoking and comes in a cool little fire-heated pot.
I liked this place for the:
- Good music and club-like atmosphere. You can sit on the couches in the middle if you want to mingle, or get a private, secluded, comfy booth with a big back cushion to lean on. I'd probably want that if I came here to sober up.
- Cool decor and low lighting, very sexy ambiance without going overboard
- GREAT service, our coals were never cool
- Good menu selections, although it was kinda funny that they served mostly Mexican food.
- Reasonably priced compared to other hookah bars
- Great place to catch up with friends and relax. Open late.
I would give them 5 stars if they served alcohol, and if they served WATER (they only offer Fiji bottles, and not for cheap). This is the place I'll be after my next night out in the OC!
Thank god there is a good place for hookah. The service is great, the hookah is great, and they change the coals on a timely basis. I went on a Tuesday night and there were dancers!
I got Citrus Mist at first, then tried Wild Berry Mint--the latter was better!
On second thought, I should have tipped more. Sorry guys! I promise I will compensate next time! There definitely will be a next time.
Usually  I don't go out for hookah since I have one at home.  Especially if that means having to wait in line, and then pay $20 for it!  But this place is different.  They have some amazing hookah (best I've ever had), and really great music.  I absolutely love this place! Â
It is located in a really odd place, so just keep your eyes peeled.
Nice place, but retarded service. They expect one person to pay for the whole table. I would never go back.
The waitresses are pretty aggressive about ordering hookahs. Â You have to order one hookah per 2 people AND get refills every hour. Â Other places let you share between more people. Â Printed on their menu it says you have to order one hookah for every two people OR order an equivalent in food purchase. Â Since the hookahs are $13 and the sandwiches are about $7, they shouldn't have a problem with people ordering food instead of hookahs. Â One of the couples in our group doesn't smoke, but wanted to hang out. Â They bought food, but they were forced to pay for hookahs as well. Â If the menu says you can buy food instead, they should honor that.
The other issue with splitting checks. Â Maybe I'm mistaken, but when I ask for split checks at restaurants, they print a separate bill for your portion and you pay it. Â They don't split checks and that's fine; we calculated our individual portions (6 couples). Â When we tried to pay with credit cards, they would allow us to use multiple cards because they don't split checks. Â I tried to explain that we have already split it among ourselves, and just want a certain amount charged to each card. Â I understand that there is a transaction fee percentage for using cards, but it shouldn't matter if you pay 1-3% on the whole bill, or the same percentage for each couple; the total will be the same.
APPALLING! What is with the service here? I've been to a couple of different hookah bars and this place has all these ridiculous restrictions.
WARNING: READ THIS BEFORE COMING HERE!
--------------------------------------------------Â---------------------
#1: EVERY 2 PEOPLE MUST ORDER 1 HOOKAH
-- This is flipping ridiculous because we had 5 people and they wanted us to have 3 hookahs. Each one is $12.99 and they force you to do REFILLS after every "hour" which brings me to warning #2
#2: $10 REFILLS EVERY "HOUR"
-- I QUOTE hour because by the time we got our hookah and had it started, we smoked for barely 30 minutes and we were forced to do a refill. Think about having 3 hookahs among 5 ppl who really dont smoke like flipping barbecue grills! So within 30 minutes we get charged $10 refills when the hookah is still good. So with this fat ass bill this brings me to warning #3.
#3: THEY DON'T SPLIT CHECKS
They even made a placard just to say they don't split bills. They're bills get huge because of the ridiculous charges and restrictions so imagine one person having to put all that on their card when no one has cash. NOT COOL.
Seriously guys? WTF is this ridiculous shady ass place? Warning #4.
#4: SHADY CHARGES
When we got our bill, they tacked on all these charges like a "service charge" with a tip charge already in there. So READ CAREFULLY and don't go paying an extra tip on top of this!
#5: SHADY ENVIRONMENT
Okay, the ambiance and the decor is cool I'll give them that. The DJ was really good too. This is really the only reason they get an extra star. But MAN, this place is filled with tools (some decent and cool people I'm sure). This guy outside in the parking lot (most likely very drunk) puts his beer on top of my friend's car and when she tells him thanks for taking it off, he gets pissed off and pours the rest of his beer over her car and throws the bottle. FUCKING DOUCHEBAG!
Okay, I can understand instances of bad people, but I AM NEVER COMING BACK TO THIS PLACE! The business is so shady and the hookah I can live without. It's a great place to get ripped off. I had WAAAY better experience going to ISIS in Pasadena where the people are nice and friendly and don't add on ridiculous restrictions and charges. NEVER AGAIN.
we came all the way from Laguna to follow yelp and check out this place. Rudest customer service :
1) Each person MUST order a hooka and every 45 minutes they ask for refill ($8) if you say no you MUST leave the place
2) very getto place
3) you must seat on pillow for hours no back support
4)we ordered beef, the came with chicken - answer: that's all we have
5) no tap water- you must pay $4 for Fiji
I would NEVER come back to this place
This is probably the best hookah lounge I've been to so far. I don't go frequently, but many places in OC are just ehh. Fusion definitely beats out all of them.
Pretty decor, excellent coal, great service! Last time, the music was a little too loud, so it was hard for me to project my voice over a booming stereo. However, the first time I came here, this wasn't a problem. But they did play a lot of Arabic music, which was actually really catchy and got all of us dancing.
They also offer a large array of flavors. Last time they made a 'house special' blend of I-Don't-Know-What, but it was fruity and taaaasty! I strongly recommend the blue mist.
The Best Hookah Bar in Anaheim.
Fusion is a fun hookah bar that is well decorated, has a funky atmosphere and a cool crowd. The owner Mohammad is a very nice guy who told me about the history of his hookah bar when I met him a while back.
He serves different types of hookah in various flavors and offers a fun atmosphere in the heart of Anaheim. Fusion is a great place to go because right next door there is a Panini cafe and a pastry shop. After you smoke your hookah you can get a panini or some pastries.
Its also highly recommended for college students and young women. There are many creepy places for hookah, but this place is in the heart of the Arabic district and there are lots of families eating at nearby restaurants and delis.
For young college students, its fun to come here because its a safe atmosphere, without that tacky "clubby" feel that many hookah bars have with a sleazy clientele and overpriced food. It's fun, affordable and a good place to spend a Saturday night.
The staff is friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable (especially in this horrible Recession!)
If you are a young student or in your early 20s and want a fun and SAFE hookah bar to hang out at, make sure you bookmark Fusion Cafe!.
This place is definitely a hidden gem in Anaheim..
This is the best Hookah Lounge in OC!
I have been to several Hookah Lounges in various cities and Fusion Ultra Lounge is awesome! From the moment I walked in I was greeted in a welcoming manner, and since I had made reservation the process was very smooth. The ambiance is plush, clean, swanky and let's not forget the candles. The lighting and candles make this Hookah lounge, very chic and upscale...a great place to meet/take friends, guests, and dates too! I love the live DJ and this is one of the liveliest crowds I have seen at any Hookah lounge. Our server (female) was friendly and the young guy who changes the coals was on the top of his game. The Hookahs are clean, smooth and last for hours! I will be back and thanks Fusion Ultra Lounge, for making it truly and "ultra" experience!
Kisses to all the hotties! ;)
Fusion Ultra Lounge is The Most Elegant Hookah Lounge I have ever attended. As soon as you walk in you are surrounded dozens of tiny tea light candles in the entrance. The Décor inside is simply put as "WOW." (with a period at the end of wow because there is nothing else you can really say after that).  I mean in all honesty they really took the word Ultra Lounge to a whole new level. Swanky Vegas style seating on both ends of the lounge. Modern- Moroccan Style Seating in the center with these awesome Moroccan style doors hanging above the seating (SO Cool) and in the back they have these nice intimate booths  Down Town La Style tufted backs with these very authentic looking Moroccan Lamps hanging down. Â
Music! Is amazing Live DJ! Always a Plus (even Better when its House Music)
Sound is amazing, Great Highs, and Lows not to over whelming of bass... its just enough so you can feel it...
Atmosphere is Amazing, Dim Lit very Elegant
Hookah Amazing , Flavorful Make sure you get the Starbuzz Tangerine
Dream with Al Fakher Grape!!!
Charcoal is the most Impressive I have ever seen
Service Great... Â Nice Friendly Servers always checking up on you Â
Oh and I almost forgot the coolest thing!! Make sure you Order A Tea Pot!!! They bring it out in this whole Cast Iron Tea Pot with a tea pot warmer that have a tea light in em... Â I love tea and I love to drink it slow.. .but that warmer always keeps it warm... simple things like that make this place amazing
Last night me and my cousin decided to head over to fusion for some food and hookah....This place is nothing like your standard hookah lounge the ambient of the place is amazinggggggggggggg, the furniture and decor blows any other hookah lounge out of the water....To top it off I LOVE THE FOOD! So we were just hanging out and smoking hookah then BAM this amazing belly dancer came out ooo and yes we all made it rain :)
This place is also a great place for a late night sesh after the clubs end or bars....Most people would go to Dennys where you start getting tired and its so damn bright...But going to Fusion the music is still going the food is still cooking and the people are still having a great time....I think its a wayyyyyyyy better place to unwind after a long night of partying than say Dennys :) Â
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm WHEN you go dont forget to order Blue Mist Tangerine that is my FAVORITE hookah
The obvious thing to expect of or hope for in your hookah spot is fresh and high quality hookah flavors.
Fusion will make you question your normal expectations of a hookah place, because it is exceptional.
The design is classy and can't be beat at any other Hookah spot in town. Â It even draws visitors all the way from New York City!
The music is eclectic, energizing and fresh, leaving visitors searching iTunes!
The menu is completely affordable! Â It extends to food and beverage items, including great tasting teas, smoothies, and Panini's. Â And the quality of service makes every penny worth it:)
The people are the best part about Fusion! Â Those who visit, do so frequently and are like family!
It is the perfect place to end up late night and relax after an eventful evening or just hang and watch Monday night football!
Any place where the owners will hang out speaks volumes and is a good place to be!
I'll catch you there:)
For a hookah bar, it's pretty damn classy. Â The location is in a Middle Eastern shopping plaza in the very far corner.
The decor was quite elegant compared to the others I've gone to. Very dim with fake candles. Nice comfy couch. Â The atmosphere is relaxing.
The staff is friendly and helpful. Â Not much to it. Replaced the coals pretty frequently.
Their flavor menu doesn't have much of a variety compared to others. Â I would estimate about 15 flavors. Could be more. Their policy is that one hookah for every 2 person plus a drink. Way to milk it.
The music was a mix of house, techno, pop, 80's rock, the music was just not going together or mix which irritated me.
Experience cost about $29 with one mint hookah that was really smooth, one pepsi, and one red bull. Hookah about $13. Not terrible.
I would like to return to this bar again. Â Pretty good and the hours is perfect for an irvine girl trying to figure out what to do for nightlife in the OC.
Fusion Cafe
I love the name their trying to sport but maybe they should change the signs to reflect their intent (Fusion Cafe = Fusion Ultra Lounge). Me and the hubby dropped by last night to check this place out. The spot we initially wanted to go to was packed to the brim so we decided to take a journey down Brookhurst to find a place to patronize and blow big tasty clouds @.
We pulled up to the parking lot and noticed that there was a well-lit tent with chairs, a musician, and plenty of seating for some hookah and eats. I'm not quite sure if this was being handled by Fusion or a combo of the restaurant & them (we didn't ask). Nonetheless, we walked straight into the corner venue to find seating inside.
The lounge had swag with a trendy and almost Gothic look to it. As you can see from the pictures already posted- different styles of seating is available, but of course the booths are the most popular.
I'd only wish that this place was bigger to accommodate more people & that the middle seating areas had back rests. What can I say, I like to relax while I hookah!
Highlights & Low-lights:
*Service SEEMED on point: coal service (AMAZING); service staff (EHHHH...!); They totally need a better flowing system
*Why you ask: Got our bottled soda about 10 minutes after our hookah was locked and loaded & menus are apparently not readily available
*Music was to our liking but we aren't very picky on this regard
*Hookah itself was just like any other place in town
*Don't know if they serve food but it sort of looked liked they did from the looks of other peoples table (wasn't on the menu we got that's for sure)
*$3 for a glass bottle of coke that was 8oz (I know it's a glass bottle and all but D@MN, a fountain drink or plastic bottle would have been better)

Well, this place was very pretty & did have a "lounge-y" feel to it. A few little stings due to the service and the fact that an ultra lounge usually/should serve alcohol (liquor licenses are hard to come by especially if you have an 18+ crowd, I know). I'd probably give this place another shot once I've tried all the other hookah places around the area. Check Fusion UL out if you're around and experience it for yourself!!
