After hearing so much about this place locally, I decided to check it out for myself.
Ordered some Veggie Quesadillas with a side of Salsa & a Sangria Margarita. Overall, I was a bit disappointed. My food was very bland, and a bit more expensive than I thought. However, the service was good & my Margarita was excellent. This is definitely a cool place to hang outside & have a few Margaritas on the patio. Just wish the flavor of the food would stand out more.
I love this place. I was sad to see so many negative reviews, but it is what it is.
I do not eat meat so this place is AWESOME. I can get pretty much anything, but with the veggies. And I think they are mighty tasty. I love their soft veggie tacos and the veggie burrito. The veggie enchiladas are also great, but it's just too much food for me for one sitting. Their chips are super tasty and they put a magical spice blend on it that I love. Also love their salsa, super tasty. Oh and I can't forget the fuzzy driver! It's also pretty inexpensive.
The only thing I take off for is the fact that my order is wrong every few times I go. Not sure why, it's never overly busy when I go and I don't ask for anything crazy (ie: I ask for no cheese and get cheese or I ask for a veggie product and get something else). I can put up with it because I love the food.
It is not your usual tex-mex like the rest of the Mexican places in the area. It is more of a baja-cali kind of mix. Unique for this area.
The cherry margarita was pretty good, but I had a few overwhelmingly sweet gulps of pure cherry syrup.
I got the grilled fish taco and fried shrimp taco, which were both tasty. I wish they put more fish in the taco, though. I barely had a tiny sliver. The salsa and chips were YUM. The salsa was nice and warm and full of flavor. I'd come back!
The large patio area was a nice touch too on a nice day.
Decent and not expensive. I like that they have black beans, which aren't always available at Tex-Mex restaurants. I like the guacamole more than at most places because it's more avocado than filler. The mango tea needed more flavor. And they forgot my side order of guacamole so I had to go back to ask for it. Overall, not my favorite place, but I wouldn't mind going back either.
Review Source:When this place first opened, I had heard from friends that it was good. Â I was especially seeing a lot of pictures on facebook, of delicious looking margaritas.
So today, we finally got to try it out, and it just didn't hit the spot. Â As far as Mexican food goes, I've had Waayy better. Â And if you're in Beaumont, there are SO many better and authentic nearby Mexican restaurants - that honestly, why even bother with this place. Â The only thing that I really enjoyed was the guacamole and queso. Â I ordered a beef quesadilla thinking that would be hard to screw up.... but I was wrong. Â They use shredded beef instead of fajita and it was So freakin greasy that it was dripping everywhere and soggy. Â And on top of that they put Pico de gallo inside (which i don't prefer, and had I know that's how they make it I would have asked for it on the side). Â They also put diced tomatoes in the queso we ordered, which my husband hated, but that didn't bother me so much. Â There were so many tomatoes in all of our orders though, that my husband said as we were leaving, "They should remove that picture of the chili pepper decal on the door, and replace it with a tomato" Â Lol
Also, we ordered one of those "delicious" margaritas...a cherry limeade one w/ a corona and I really wasn't impressed with it either. Â
Overall, the "Mexican" food served here just isn't the taste and texture that I expected or crave, so I don't plan on returning here. Â But the portions and prices were good, so if you're on a budget it will fill you up.

and as a footnote, I have not had their breakfast so I am a little curious to see how there breakfast tacos might be...
This place reminds me of a cheap copy of Torchy's Tacos in Austin. Â For what it is, it isn't terrible. Â Food is adequate, service is fairly quick (albeit indifferent) and drinks are pretty weak. Â For a late night dinner spot in Beaumont, you take what you can get.
If they had a bit more creativity with their taco fillings and better service, they could easily earn an extra star or two.
But really approaching 4 stars. The food is solid-a-okay. Generous portions. Looks like everything come from a can because a good portion of their decor consists of cans. Again, not bad for the price.
Fresh breakfast plate. Migas was made with fresh ingredients. This is weekend only. I like it.
I got the shrimp tacos, queso, chips and salsa, and a Bud Light. The beer was cold, both the crispy and soft tacos were good and tasted fresh. I am not a fan of heated salsa and will not be ordering it again. It is not very good either. I'd avoid it. I added some complimentary pico de gallo to their very bland "Queso Blanco". That made it much better. I'd get two, if I were you.
