Ghost Ranch Dining and Entertainment

I do loves me some Ghost Ranch.  Found this place by accident, really liked the name and loved the food, decor and general awesomeness of it.  Great service, too. Tipped our waitress big time because she was so good and perky.  Great option for food/entertainment in Steamboat. Reminded me of a set from one of the old Buffy episodes I extra'd on in the 90s but my bf, a huge Buffy connoisseur, didn't agree but he wasn't on it so whatevs.  And there's no way I would have spelled connoisseur correctly if it wasn't for Yelp's spell-checker.

Disappointing meal.  We went in and settled,,,,then took a leap of faith after reading the luke warm reviews on Yelp.

Venue- nice
Service- Good....forgot some utensils, but no big deal

Starters....Goat Cheese platter- Real Good
Buffalo Meatballs.....3 of em....Good
Dinner:
Chicken.....not hing to write home about....tough batter coating ....on top of a average selection of chicken...
Ribs- OK

The bar is beautiful, the service so-so and the food left a lot to be desired. I tried the Tri-Tip platter - the meat was chewy and hard to cut with my butter knife provided. My husband tried the Fried Chicken platter - the breading was dry but the meat was moist and tasty. The mac and cheese side was a joke - macaroni with cheese on top, not to mention cold. Our waitress was inattentive and seemed to busy for us. This would be a great place for drinks and music.
