Gino's NY Pizza Bar & Restaurant

dropped in before going to shoot pool one evening, hoping for pizzas by the slice. hurray! they exist here. they have them nicely displayed behind the clear germ guard. there's quite a selection of specialty pizzas that are available by the slice, which is nice. don't ask for the margherita though. that's the only one they won't do.

let's not get into the type of flour, the kind of crust, the quality of ingredients... it's hard to do that when the restaurant doesn't have a wood burning stove. i had a slice of white and a slice of grilled chicken. both were decent enough to go back the next time i'm in the area -- especially for $7 and some change for dinner.

Not really NY Pizza. It has more of a taste of pizza you would get in the suburbs. The prices are higher than what they would charge in NYC as well. The pizza place on Chamblee Tucker is more authentic and cheeper.

Stopped in for a slice of Sicilian. Had sausage Sicilian. Not as tasty as I remembered. Flavor just not there.
