First off when you step into this place you immediacy feel welcomed. Â The decor and lighting fit perfectly into the great sports bar they are. Â The food is way above average.
The have great drink and food specials all week. Staff is very pleasant and friendly. Make you feel like your a regular. Â Great prices and deals during games and on weekend. Always have fun promos going on.
Love this place.
A friend of mine told me about this joint, and I'm glad he did. I went on a Sunday,it wasn't that busy due to football being over. Even though it wasn't too crowded, it was still a great time. Our waitress was very warm and attentive. The food was very good. Their a atomic wings are a must!
Review Source:This place it very nice inside. Very warm and welcoming. Prices are affordable if you're there on the right day and time to take advantage of one of their daily specials. The place is clean, staff is friendly, food is slightly above average and the patrons are a good mix of civilized individuals. No need to worry about bringing family or a girlfriend to this place. My only complaint is that service can be a bit slow. Not sure if it was just because of the one time I've been there but I'll be giving them another chance in the near future.
Review Source:went for lunch with a groupon and had a bad experience. Got there at 1pm and kitchen still was not open. I was told I couldn't order an appetizer with groupn although the coupon said i could. Also told I couldn't order the Ribeye. The service really sucked. I was told the only thing that was "ready was the chicken phily sandwich and since I was on my lunch hr, i said ok. After waiting 1/2 hr I just told them to wrap and I took it home. It was fair. Would never go back.
Review Source:I purchased a voucher for a brunch meal and my family and I came here one Sunday afternoon. Â The server was really nice. Â He came to our table right away and even though we were taking an eternity to decide what we wanted, he was still nice and even gave us suggestions when it came to the food. Â We were not disappointed with their Buffalo Wings and the Jalapeno Poppers. Â We all opted for burgers and they were very tasty. Â We even ordered Quesadillas to go. Â All in all we were very happy with this spot, especially because they are located so close to home. Â Loved the food and the service was great.
So hubby, my son & I came here again for dinner tonight after having a wonderful brunch over the weekend and we ended up leaving. Why? Because the clueless waitress did a million things before she even brought us our menus, let alone said a word to us after walking by our table 4 times and making eye contact.
Instead of even acknowledging us, she served drinks to the table right next to us, made TWO trips back and forth, to close out another nearby table's bill and AFTER that table cleared out, she passed us again and started to clean the table. When we saw that, we got fed up and left. We headed up a couple of blocks to the Bronx Burger House, where the staff is way more accommodating AND pleasant.
This experience left a sour taste in my mouth about the place because we came here previously for lunch and had great food and service, which prompted us to make the return visit. Â I wish I could talk about the dinner food but we didn't even get that far into this visit. Â You wonder why places like this end up having to resort to shelling out vouchers in the first place. Â Here's a clue, LOOK AT YOUR STAFF.
I've passed Gleeson's so many times heading into the BX and have always wanted to try it. Then Groupon had a GREAT deal and we HAD to try it.
Its a sports bar with LOTS of televisions. It was a very clean establishment. The bar and stools are a dark wood with enough seating for 100 people comfortably.
We went there for the first time for lunch today. Their kitchen had just opened so it was perfect. The bartender was very friendly and talked to us as if we go there all the time.
We had the Frickles (fried pickles) as our appetizer and they were really good. We asked for mustard for our dipping sauce, nice size portion for $5, definitely worth a try.
I had the Ribeye sandwich with mozzarella cheese and french fries ($15). The sandwich was a 6 inch sub and had a nice portion of meat in the middle.
My husband had Fish and Chips, he thought it was ok. The portion was pretty big with two nice size pieces of fish and a huge order of fries.
They have a nice fully stocked bar, not many beers on tap, except for the usual.
We'll be going back because I really want to try their wings and quesadilla next time.
Cooks should sear hamburgers. Â A hamburger without sear, without that beefy brown taste, should not be served. Â Salting the burger right before putting it on the heat will help. Â And, a burger on a slow afternoon should not take 15 minutes.
Very good Brooklyn IPA small glass for $2.00 at 4:15. Â Nice.
