OK So we have been to this restaurant so many times that we call it our pantry. Â If I was rating it on the eat in experience I would give it 4...maybe 5 Stars. Â However I have to say THEIR TAKE OUT IS BAD BAD BAD! Â We order on average 1 to 2 times a week. Â at LEAST half the time the order is messed up. Â To start with, the phone is answered, then transferred to take out desk. Â Why not have take out answer instead of putting you on hold for 2 to 5 minutes? Â Then the order is placed and normally not prepared the way we want. Â For example last time we ordered a Glory Burger and asked for the egg on the side. Â We ended up with a hamburger. Â They said they would credit us back for it, which never occurred.
In the end, we will continue to go back..the food is good and a good value. Â We will continue to order take-out as well..what can I say, I'm a glutton for punishment. Â What they need in a big way is a near by competitor that get's take out right. Â Perhaps that will drive them to get it together.
Ok, I typically hate surburbia and all things having to do with it and when my boyfriend presented the idea of a sports bar for drinking and dinner, I cringed. I typically loathe going to sports bars for dinners based on previous experiences, but it was his turn to pick, so I went. He told me we had to order the cheese fries and while I love me some cheese fries, I think I may have found the holy grail cheese fries. They are perfection and they are perfection every time. We usually split a half order and then get a salad. I love, love, love their buffalo chicky salad sans dressing. It seems to be perfect for families and is always loud. We normally sit at the bar since it is quiet. So long story short, if you HAVE to eat at a sports bar in suburbia, this is your spot, you will not be disappointed.
Review Source:Coming from the Pittsburgh area it is a real delight to see a facsimile of the famed Primanti Brothers sandwiches with pastrami, cole slaw, and fries all jammed together in a sandwich from heaven. While Glory Days' version of this sandwich pales in comparison to the original, it was a nice trip down nostalgia lane and a decent enough sandwich. The atmosphere is great if you're into sports and large crowds of people drinking cold pints of beer (I am). They boast a large selection of your normal pub fare on top of a few unique items. The service is alright. A lot of teenagers work here so you can expect how that works--nothing to write home about. I will definitely be returning.
Review Source:Nice sports-themed family place where both kids and adults can find something to their liking.
We usually end up getting ribs or burgers. Â But I was excited to see fried pickles on the menu (hard to find outside the deep South). Â I am partial to their new open-faced roast beef sandwich.
Most interesting are the individual speakers on the tables that let you tune into one of the many TVs throughout the restaurant. Â And when the kids get bored, there is an arcade in the back room.
I went to Glory Days Grill to watch football with friends. Glory Days has one huge projector television and a lot of smaller television throughout the sports bar. I ordered a couple of appetizers while I was watching football. I decided on the crab dip and the cheese fries with bacon. The crab dip was tasty for a sports bar but the portion was a bit small. The dip came with warm bread. The cheese fries with bacon was good. Glory Days Grill has a good beer selection. The service was good. The employees were nice. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive. For a sports bar, glory Days Grill has a family atmosphere. This Glory Days Grill didn't have the crazy sports fan atmosphere like most sports bars. There's plenty of parking in front of the sports bar. Glory Days Grill located in a strip mall on Ridgefield Pkwy.Glory Days is a solid spot to enjoy sports.
Review Source:Ok, I'll admit this place is a suburbanite soccer family's dream. Â For me, it's a little annoying - if it wasn't for the food, I'd put this on my "do not return" list.
Glory Days got kids running up and down the aisles, neighbors running into one another chatting up a storm, and the all the classic Americana vibes that a neighborhood grill could have.
I don't go for the crowd, I go for the chicken sandwich. Â I'm a little embarrassed to admit Glory Days has the best chicken sandwich ever. Â I get it BBQ style with warm sauce, swiss, and bacon on a fresh sweet bun. Â The chicken is cooked pretty near perfect and I choose the steamed veggies as my side (even though they're heavy with butter).
The service isn't great and if you're lucky enough to be seated at the front, you'll hear "oh.my.god" and "so, like, I.." coming from hostesses stand. Â
This sandwich brings me Glory Days once every couple of months, and I'll happily enjoy it.
