Gnats Landing

Went to Gant's Landing for a group lunch during a business trip.  I certainly enjoyed sitting on the porch - which was still comfortable in the summer sun.  The server was nice and attentive, but the food was lacking.

The fried pickles appetizer was just okay.  The pickles were cut too thin for my liking so you got more fried than pickle flavor.  The grilled shrimp caesar salad I had for lunch was fine, but nothing to write home about.

The people I was with seemed to enjoy their meals so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.  Wouldn't be opposed to trying it again, but not the first place I'd chose.

This is usually the first eatery I hit on my way on the island. I love the Fried Green Tomato Cuban. I can't get past it for the other menu items. It is overly filling and a huge sandwich. Service is spotty depending on when you arrive and how crowded. It starts loading up with patrons when it opens @ 11:30 which says something for their food. Love the covered porch with the large screen TV which always has the most current sports event showing.

Great little casual spot. The chicken chili special and the shrimp app were particularly zesty.
