Best patio in Old Towne, by far, and people don't even really know about it! Food is all pretty standard, but service is always friendly, prices are decent, and the atmosphere just can't be beat. My favorite bar in Old Towne!

Just what I'm looking for in a pub. You can take the family there or just pop by for a pint. I read in an earlier review that they didn't have french fries. They do now and they're fine. They keep a local (Colorado) line of brews on tap but wish they'd actually pick for quality rather than locality. Staff is very attentive and nice. I've never had to wait long for service here. Loved their burgers.

This is a great place to drink - and an OK place to eat.  We spend a fair amount of time in Old Towne Arvada, and as such we're always looking for more options.  We had visited the Grandview one time about 2 years ago and weren't very impressed, so it had been quite awhile since we'd been back.  We've been there twice in the past month, and I'm glad we gave it another try.  It's a great place to park it at the bar to have a couple of drinks.  The bartenders are all friendly and attentive - they never let my drink remain empty for long.  The drinks are also very reasonably priced.  We've tried a couple of appetizers that really hit the spot while drinking, but then we've also tried lunch and both ended up with mediocre entrees.  Some of the other food I've seen coming out of the kitchen looks great - it's possible we just both made bad choices for lunch that day.  We'll definitely go back - probably again and again to drink.

Simply the best Corn Beef and Cabbage I have ever had! This is the best neighborhood bar in Olde Town hands down. It always has a great selection of drafts and the staff is very professional. They have great tv's which they have no problem tuning in whatever game you want and the music is fine despite what that other reviewer says.

While the server and atmosphere were great, I won't go back. Beer line for my Easy Street was nasty. Orange looked like it had been cut days prior. Dinner of the meatloaf ended at 6pm, food poisoning kicked in 2am. Really bad food poisoning. I can only imagine no one ordered the meatloaf in the last two years but their freezer doesn't automatically discard old food. It was that bad.

Nice bartenders, decent beer selection, good food. If you're looking for a watering hole in Arvada, this place is pretty solid.

Was out riding with my friend, and we stopped in here.  Nice patio, friendly service... an OK menu....

Seems like a good local bar, it was Saturday afternoon and all the stools at the bar were taken, and it seemed to have a pretty ok lunch crowd.

Note:  They do not have french fries :)  They do not have a fryer, rather small kitchen area... In seeing the upside of that... no horrible fried food !LOL ...

I had the ribs (special that day), it was a little tooo spicy for me, but i really liked them so I kept eating in spite of that :)

Nice relaxing atmosphere.. nothing to over the top....

Stopped in with friends while touring Old Town Arvada.  Had a couple of drinks and moved on to the next bar...not real memorable good or bad.

I find it very annoying when a place is out of things on their menu. I asked for three things they did not have. The largest part of their menu is burgers yet they don't have any fries?  Two thumbs down.

Just a great little neighborhood bar and grill.

I needed some sustenance before a mani-pedi down the block, so I dropped in to The Grandview. This is just a fun little neighborhood bar.

The folks at the bar were friendly and included me in their conversation about the weather and political jokes.

The bartenders were on it! No empty glasses at this bar :) They even offered me a shot when a large crowd at the end of the bar was going to do one together.

The menu is mostly sandwiches & burgers, with a few steaks as well.

Eat It: The Seared Ahi Tuna Appetizer. Trust me on this one. It's 5 big slices of Ahi Tuna atop Cucumber slices with Wasabi Mayo to dip it in. Yum!

Drink It: Draft Beer. This place only has a few beers on draft, but they run the spectrum! You can get a local Microbrew, any of the usual suspects (Bud, etc.) or even a Miller High Life. Way to cater to all!

I don't find myself in Olde Town Arvada nearly as often as I should. But, this place definitely made the list of places I will stop in, when I do.

I don't know what kind of bread they put their burgers on but it is MAGNIFICENT! We go here quite a bit just to chill out. It's super low-key and quiet for a bar which is nice (you don't have to shout to talk to the person next to you, by no means)... very neat little joint and dark and the food is fantastic! I can't say anything bad so I'll leave that to someone else :)

I'm updating my review...and lowering my rating...after three more unpleasant experiences at The Grandview in Arvada.

Frankly, I find that they've just stopped trying. At least from my perspective.

The Guinness ALWAYS tastes like it's being poured through dirty lines, and that alone is unacceptable.

The music is usually way too loud and even when my table politely asked the waitress twice to lower it - then made a few smiley jokes about the crap music being turned up as loud as it was - we were basically blown off.

My friends and I are looking for a place near Olde Town Arvada where we can go for a Guinness on a weekend night without being assaulted by overwhelming music! (We LOVE music...we love LOUD music...but we also recognize that there's a time, a place and that the music should be for the patrons enjoyment, NOT that of the tattooed hipster-wannabe behind the bar.)

Hey morons: There's music you play at a DANCE CLUB and then there's music you play at a place where you want to sit, talk over drinks and not have to shout at each other!! Learn the difference!

The 12 Volt offers loud live music, as does the D-Note across the street, The Archieve Room (shockingly) played music so loud at 9pm, that we left because my party couldn't even hear each other while standing at the host stand, waiting for a hostess that never came...so we left.

We went to go into the new sprotsbar formerly known to locals as "Bliss" and found that a bunch of 20-somethings we

There are a couple of juke joints, but that's not what we were looking for...then we opted for the (too warm) but relatively sticky-tabled coziness of The Grandview, which we all agreed was "the least noisy" of the bunch (or at least it seemed so after we got tired of roaming the streets looking for a place we could chat over a drink!).

The inappropriate-for-the-setting "music" got boosted even louder within 15 minutes of our sitting down.

I want to like The Grandview. Hell, I want to LOVE The Grandview...but they make it impossible.

My husband and I drove over to Old Town Arvada to check out the shops and grab some lunch. We just sort of wandered in and had a great lunch at the Grandview!  Both of us had excellent sandwiches (his was grilled chicken, and mine an ABLT) and I enjoyed an excellent cup of french onion soup with mine.  The food was very good and the service as good as it gets. The only objection (and very slight since it wasn't too loud) was the music. It was a strange mix.  But that won't be enough to keep us away the next time we wander away from Denver to Old Town.

I ordered a bacon-cheese burger, medium rare. I received a well done burger, sans bacon, lettuce and tomatoes. I did not complain about the done-ness...but I did ask for the condiments that should have accompanied the burger. It wasn't busy (at all) so I wonder why some places can't get it right..even when they have only a few orders to concentrate on. Complacency? Boredom? Need a career change?

I have had the burgers, salad, and appetizers here.  This is not a quick lunch place as the food is obviously made to order and comes out hot and very fresh.  My chicken salad came out with hot, fresh chicken on top and loads of mozzarella.  My husbands appetizer of steak teriyaki came out fantastic with huge skewers of meat done medium rare with two dipping sauces.  My other two friends were quite happy with their lunches as well.  With salads running about $11 and burgers about $10 or so, I didn't think it was too expensive given that the hamburger meat isn't a pre-frozen patty and all the food is made to order.  When it gets really busy it gets a little slow, but we weren't in a rush so who cares?  It's a nice, friendly place to sit and have lunch.

Went there for a beer with a friend.  It was OK.  Kinda dead local place.  It was a Saturday night and they closed it early because there was no one there.  Definitely not a hopping place.  I did not have any food there.

Great neighborhood bar atmosphere.  We've always had good service and their entrees are delicious (Poblano Burger is great!) but the appetizers and desserts are mediocre.  Step it up a notch on the appetizers guys and you'll be my regular  hangout.  Good selection of draft beers.  Love the music; its great to hear blues for a change!
Just a suggestion...  Take down the privacy screen on the Webster Street side of your patio so it can be seen  from Grandview.  Everyone loves a patio, but no one knows  you have one.  Open it up!!!

I've been here once, and only once. I never plan to return.

We went for a Friday happy hour about a year ago.  I just had a beer, and the others had munchies. Everything was fine.

However, the service was atrocious.  Our glasses were empty before Dude came back to ask if we wanted refills, and then it took forever to get them.

But that's not the worst part.  One of the couples in our party decided to tip our server very low...like....insultingly low.  Dude took their credit receipt and observed his tip (or lack thereof). The rest of us, many of whom who have waited tables before, took pity on the poor incompetent server and decided to throw in a few extra bucks.

As luck would have it, Dude was just finishing his shift.  Before he took the rest of our monies (and discovered he'd actually been tipped quite adequately), he went to the bar and was bitching about our table to the server who was coming on duty.  He was talking about us rudely and loudly, and we all heard him. Never in my life have I seen a server do that.

We were so miffed, we took back all the extra tips that we'd thrown his way and gave them to the new waitress instead.  We also hauled ass out of there and vowed to never return.  Insulting your customers for YOUR lack of customer service is just ridiculous.

Awesome burgers and I am very picky when it comes to a good burger.  Cooked perfectly on a nice bun.  Good beer prices and our service was great.  Puzzled on the bad reviews here. Seems like people just had bad experiences.  Wish they had some sort of pub french fry instead of 'home made chips'.  Odell beers on tap are always a nice addition as well.

One of the few times I did not consult Yelp before trying out.  So throwing caution to the wind we walked in and got  a table at Grandview.
Nice bar, nice patio and quick service right off the bat.
You can quickly tell that burgers are the thing to get here.  Poblano burger, bleu cheese burger and griled chicken sandwiches kept flying by so I decided to try the blue cheese burger.  They don't have fries but the kettle chips were great.
The burger itself was big, juicy and smothered in melted blue cheese.  Everything you want in a burger.
Food seems solid here and if all else fails grab a few beers at the bar.

So it was gorgeous out today. After all the snow, the clouds broke and filled the air with sunshine. I came up with the idea of hitting the road and exploring some parts of the surrounding Denver area that I have always been curious about. One of my stops, Old Towne Arvada. It's not that big.

I have to say that I liked the portion of town that is Grandview Avenue. The view of the surrounding area is pretty cool.

The bar that is the Grandview sits directly on Grandview Avenue and offers a nice spot to sit and look out at the mountains while enjoying a tasty beer. (ok, I have to state that the Sierra Nevada I was served was not that cold. What gives? This place does not sport the "pub" theme.) The food served at the Grandview is surprisingly good. (Surprising in that I had no idea what to expect, and I expected disappointment more than pleasure. What a nice silver lining to my cloud.) The bar itself has an original wooden floor dating several decades, if not 100 hundred years of age. The ceiling is covered in a tin stamp roof with squares of shiny tin. The place has a great feel and it looks incredibly inviting.

This was my first time in Old Towne Arvada and the Grandview. If I can find another reason to head up that way, I am sincerely inclined to re-visit this place.

I have to give this place an upgrade.  I've been back here a few times since the first review and the service each time has been much better.  Definitely more attentive.  The food, of course, has always been good.  I don't know if anything has actually changed or if I'm just having better luck with this place but I'd be confident in recommending The Grandview to friends now.

This is  a great place to eat or drink in Old Town Arvada.  The food is ALWAYS great and the service is pretty good.  I love the shrimp skewers, House Salad, Burgers.
The chips and salsa are not great but that is the only complaint.

Sometimes you just want to be low-key and relax. This is just the place for that. The lights are turned down low, the music is soft and the libations are pouring.

The best element of this joint is its patio. What a great place to be on a summer evening with a group of friends. The menu, while not offering a ton of different selections, is great. The bleu cheese burger is to die for.

The only reason my review wasn't 5 stars is the price of the food. The food is great and the portion size is above average, I think the price is a little high.

When wanting a low-key evening of great food, great drinks and a great atmosphere, head to The Grandview!

Sometimes it's okay to be scolded.... but not when you're paying for it.  I mean, come on, I can get that for free just by visiting my parents' house.

Our group of 12 was on a hunt for a leisurely lunch.  Other spots were packed so we wandered into the Grandview.  A server greeted us and said if we wanted to sit out back on the patio we could - there was space enough for our group back there without a wait.

While it was a crisp May afternoon, we figured it'd be warm enough in the sun so we pulled a few tables together and happily chatted as we perused the menu.  Our friendly server brought menus and drinks.  We hadn't even had a chance to order when the chef arrived on the scene (cue dark music: da da da...).

"Just so you know, we're busy in the kitchen so it'll be a while for you to all get your meals.  In the future you should really call ahead with such a large group".  Was the not-so-welcoming jist of what he had to say.  The first part was fine, I appreciate a kitchen update and how that will impact our group.  The second part was not so fine.

Whoooaaa... everyone looked at each other as he left, surprised that we were scolded for bringing in too much business.  Come on, if they didn't want to seat us because they were over burdened they should have told us there was a wait and just not seated us.   If your staff makes a "mistake" by seating us, deal with them, don't scold US for it.  Were it not so difficult to mobilize a group of 12, we probably would have walked down the street to find a place that wouldn't chastise us for wanting to eat a freaking burger.

Yes, that's what made the whole thing more ridiculous was that almost everyone ordered burgers.... it wasn't like these were elaborate surf & turf meals or something, they were freaking veggie burgers & hamburgers.  Fire up the grill, flip 'em a couple of times, done & done.

BOTTOM LINE:  The burgers were fine, the outdoor patio was nice, the server was nice, but after paying to be unfairly chastised, I'd seek out a different lunch spot next time.
