Greenbriar

Well, I would have to say that I quite liked this place. It was like the TV show cheers, everyone knew everyone's name:-). The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that they didn't have any beer on tap but they have a good bottled selection. I got into a nice conversation with the older lady sitting next to me, who introduced me to everyone. It is definitely divey with an older crowd so if you are just looking to chill out at a bar in the Highland area, this is a nice place to do it. Their food is very cheap also and looked good, I didn't have dinner but the steak did look yummy!!

I wouldn't totally knock it, considering the sketchy area its surrounded by, its one of the few decent bars around (theres another one on the same lot, across from it, that one being more Sports Bar) and Greenbriar being a typical cocktail lounge, although I've noticed the trend in the IE is that some bars out yonder don't have draft beer :(     And our visit to this particular one is that we were completely ignored, walked up to the bartender (since the seats surrounding it were all taken), and were completely ignored as well.  This place happens to be closer to where we live, but yet we did not get acknowledged....so needless to say we walked out & went to Celebrities instead, alittle out of our way (for drinking purposes) but still worth getting some decent service....This establishment has a karoake & dance floor & some games (Wii Bowling I think???), and they were playing country when we walked in, assume they play a variety like most......Maybe it was a bad night, maybe we stood out like outsiders/visitors (we were dressed up a little, nothing really special) but I'm willing to give it another try sometime....again it is pretty decent for a bar, considering the area its in, they keep out the rift raft so 3 stars for that too.....

Just got home from the NFL Sunday Ticket Brunch for $8.95 which included a Mimosa or Bloody Mary.  It was all that AND a bag of Cheetos!!  Mike's 3 egg omelet cooked to order was HUGE!  Much food to choose from and everyone sat there and raved about it all.  Guess I know where I'm going to be for the next sixteen Sundays!
