The Greene Turtle

I was really excited for this place and i was very disappointed.  I gave this place 3 tries( figured i would give it the benefit of the doubt) and every time one worse than the other.  My first time we came around 12:30 at night, late so we called ahead to make sure we weren't walking in right when it closes.  They told us kitchen closes at 2 AM, so we thought it would be okay to go.  After the waitress took our order she disappeared the rest of the night and didn't see her till our food came out 35 minutes later.  We ordered two burgers and one order of wings.  The burgers came out and not the wings.  The waitress comes back and tells us the wings came out cold and needed to be remade.  That didn't make any sense what so ever.  We waited another 15 minutes or so and the wings didn't come out yet so we just asked for the bill so we could leave (which took a while because the waitress was hanging out with friends at the bar)  Second time the waitress was good but the burgers we ordered were burnt and the mac and cheese tasted terrible.  The third time, fish taco's were good, cheese steak terrible, buffalo sandwich horrible, crab dip appetizer good.  The atmosphere is cool, there are tv's everywhere and one in the booths where you can change the channel.  But other than the tv's every where, its a swing and a miss, not worth it

The bar has more bartenders than patrons, and they just stare at you while you try to eat.  The kid who clearly never tended bar before over flowed every mixed drink which soaked the bar, took my napkins to clean it up, and was asked by every customer for a straw as well as the garnish for their drinks (ie: no lime on gin and tonic or lemon on long island iced tea).  He continuously picked up my beer to see if there was anything left in it which seemed even more rude than taking the napkins I had asked someone to pass me since no napkins or silverware were given to me when my food came out. When he had stepped away for a moment, I asked another bartender (who was just standing there staring at her 2 customers) for a drink for a friend that had just arrived, she told me that I would have to wait on the kid to get back to order a drink.  COULD NOT BELIEVE IT!  He came back, I asked for my tab, and only left a 15% tip and walked out (I usually tip 35%-50%).  I know they are new, but they need to to a quick evaluation, and trim some of the excess fat!

I want to give the location 5 stars but I just can't due to 1 waitress. I am not able to give her name out on Yelp but you can spot her easily. She is the one spilling drinks all over everyone at your table and not doing a damn thing about it. The food and atmosphere are great to excellent. Unfortunately the service is poor at best and will ruin the place before it has a chance.
She never even told the manager or GM who both were there along with the owner since the place opened just 2 days ago.
 We had the crab dip for appetizer which was good, had it better at the locations in Baltimore and Verizon Center. Crab Cake Sandwich all crab which was great but the shells not picked out make it just good instead of excellent. The Burgers were okay nothing special like other locations. The crab soup was bland and the signature Turtle Shake was screwed up in so many ways that it turned into nothing more than a plain chocolate shake with no pecans or carmel. The wait staff doesn't know the menu at all and when you ask for something like crab chips or fries you literately have to explain what they are to get them. Sad since other locations know and ask if you would like them that way. Also be prepared to repeat everything a few times. The soft Pretzels were the best part of the whole meal.
   Sad that the service was poor and that management never came over to see if things were okay or if they could do anything.
Not sure if I will ever give the location another chance. Which is sad cause I have been to the Baltimore location over 50 times and the Verizon Center 10 times and Andover 10 times. Was hoping for the same experience and got anything but. My daughter was web looking forward to the opening and man when we left she ask if we could never go back again.
