Guidos is a 4.5 star dive bar. Â Nothing fancy about this hole in the wall bar that serves cold beer, excellent chicken wings (probably the best in Frederick) Â and mixed drinks at an excellent price. Â Just a nice place to hang out. Â There's nothing pretentious about this place, what you see is what you get, ice cold and quick. Â
Kelly, one of the bartenders, is a sweetheart and does a great job of serving her customers. Â Excellent football Sunday wing specials; 8 wings + PBR bottle for $7, $5 pitchers, and a fair number of HD TV's! Â Not too shabby at a great price! Very nice and genuine people to boot. Â If you want to just hang out and knock back a few, this is the place to be. Â Haven't been, but I hear $.25 wing night is a big hit along with their live music.
And if you run into "Peanut Butter" Â Mark on Ravens football Sunday, He'll definitely meet you at Taco Bell after the game!
Congrats on the Ravens Super Bowl win!
For a long time, I loved Guido's and went there often. I have to say my opinion of it has changed due to the service of one of the bartenders. I believe her name is Stef and she has been incredibly rude to myself, my husband, and my friends, giving us problems with our IDs though we have been there many times, tip well, and all have valid IDs and are above the age of 21. I understand a bartender has an obligation to follow the law and check ID, but I am forced to conclude by her rude behavior that she does not care about treating her patrons with respect. That kind of treatment has made me go elsewhere with my money. I am really bummed, because the food is delicious, the beer is cheap, and Casey is a great bartender.
