Alive @ 5

$5 cover for music on Carroll Creek. The beer and wine tokens ($5 each) are a bit pricey, but the music is generally very good. There is a nice crowd and plenty of areas to sit. Check downtown Frederick web page for the schedule.

They do a good job picking the bands, so the music is usually pretty good.  The venue is outside with no shade, so it is vulnerable to the weather if it is rainy or real hot.  The real complaint is that it is $5 for a draft beer.  Beer is half that cost at several bars just steps away.

One of my favorite summer time venues:

Ddowntown happy hour series occuring the fourth Thursday of each month from May - September at the Carroll Creek Park Amphitheatre between Market and Carroll Streets. Each event occurs from 5 - 8PM, features a distinctive live band, great music, beer and wine.  Must be 21+ to enter. ID required. $5 cover.  

Alive @ Five is dog friendly  for well behaved dogs on a leash.
