Stopped in for lunch. Â Not much of a crowd. Â I had the appetizer for two, which was okay. Â Never had green falafel before... It would have been nice to have better pita bread, but the spankopita was pretty good. Â Pretty routine hummous and baba ganoush. Â Grape leaves were loose and mushy. My wife had the gyro, which was not great. Â I would expect a mediterranean restaurant to have a gyro machine for their gyro meat. Â They serve the same processed frozen crap you can get at Walmart. Â Served on a very dry pita with a little iceberg lettuce scant tomato and no onion. Â Not enough tzatziki, either, and the fries were over-seasoned and cold. Â Should have known when he delivered the plate and warned that it was hot - for a gyro sandwich and fries? Â Sounds like a heat lamp or microwave...
We only had soft drinks, and I won't be drinking here. Â The food prices were reasonable, but the drink prices are not. Â More than $2 for soft drinks, and I noticed on the menu that a Guiness will set you back $5. Â
Service was good, but not much personality. Â Overall, not any reason to return.
I wasn't sure what to expect, but the decor is a collection of fabrics and draperies. Â Had Stuffed Grape Leaves as an appetizer and they were presented quickly...and were tasty. Â My wife had the Lamb Kabob and I ordered the Lamb Shank. Â Portions are very sizable and they come out hot from the kitchen. Â Mashed Potatoes are very good...different than what you might be used to. Â Mixed vegetables are seasoned well...again, different. Â Meat portions were great. Â Baklava dessert was great. Â Service was good! Â Owner/Chef came out to say hello to us. Â Can't wait for the weather too cool off for Hookah fun! Â I'll be back.
Review Source:Not sure what the bad reviews are about as my experience for lunch was great. Food was excellent (sampler, chicken kabob, and chicken tandoori) and our server was informative and prompt, albeit slightly quiet. The ambiance was average, but I go to restaurants to eat, not marvel at the decor. Will definitely be going back here whenever I have a hankering for good Mediterranean cuisine!
