Two of us went for lunch.  Very nice upstairs room.  The tables are a fancy iron work design that's not good for cleaning little bits of food out of, or resting your arms on.  I don't mind paying a little more for good food, my sushi restaurant bills will vouch for that.  $13 for a burger, that's ok, but $1 for onions and $2 for cheese, seriously?  I ordered a pulled turkey sandwich on a crusty roll with apple wood bacon.  The crusty roll turned out to be toast.  The pulled turkey turned out to be turkey chunks and the bacon was just bacon and only one piece.  The crab nachos were plentyfull and looked nice, but the crab had no taste.
The waitress was nice but could have paid more attention, like coming back to see if we were ok.
This is our second try after a so-so first lunch.  I don't think there will be a third.

Old meat! So grossly over-priced. I understand nothing is perfect, but you have to try in this day-in-age of online reviews. My brother got the game sampler- biggest rip off ever, but only because more than half the meat had obviously turned. I had the rabbit special, again severely overpriced because of the old meat and inferior ingredients and spices. All I could really taste was the disgusting "jus" sauce glopped all over it.
I couldn't say anything because my family is bothered when I do, for I have a much sharper pallet, and it was a big deal for my brother that we go there. My heart broke when I saw the bill considering how disappointed we all really were. The waiter was alright and nice, but stopped filling my mom's water glass toward the end of our stay, and I could tell she felt bad about it- self concious and forgettable. Just awful.
The beer and wine was good. The chili was probably the best thing ordered between the lot of us. Also the mushroom soup was quite good. But nothing like being excited about good apps and drinks, then horrible entrées, a waiter who loses interest because he knows he'll make a good tip based on what's ordered, all to be tallied up on a grossly unfair bill. Go to ranchero across the street!

The deck is great, nice breezes and good service.  The food was just ok. The chicken sandwich was good. Homemade chips weren't very flavorful and you can't get fries upstairs.  White Wine was warm.
Hubby had a salad with flat iron steak. He had to send it back because the waiter didn't ask him how he wanted it. Too raw. Came back, salad was gone and it was pretty tough.
I love the bar and restaurant itself but I just have not been able to like the food. Great beer selection so maybe just go and drink.

A great place in Kennett. The roof area was great. And the food was also great, but for the price it should be. They feature exotic meats which many other places don't have. The only thing I found odd was we were told there was a wait for the roof seating but it was half empty when we got there and we didn't see any other people leaving. So they wanted us to give business to the downstairs bartender before going upstairs. That was kind of shady. Of course the weather was perfect and nobody wanted to be downstairs, but to lie and say it was full on the roof when it was only half seated was wrong. But the service and food was great. I will have to give them $$$ for the price. There's no way its only $$, but in line with all the other fancy places in Kennett. A great place to take a date but a little pricey for a family.

The mixed drinks were great and the buffalo burger was equally as good.

It is sad to see the 2 star ratings. It definitely wad better then that all around. I wouldn't give it 5 stars but it was pretty close. If I could give it 4.5 I would.

Came here for lunch and found the food mediocre. I got their lunch special (frittata with wild boar sausage, peppers, etc.) but really didn't like the taste of it. The wild boar sausage did taste different than other sausages, however, but the whole dish lacked flavor and was pretty bland. My boyfriend got the crab nachos, which we heard was what they were known for, but it turned out to be just okay. There wasn't a ton of salsa to go with the chips so if you're big on loading up your chips, you might have to pay an additional $2.50 for more salsa. We asked for the regular red salsa, but we would have had to pay the additional $2.50 just for that.

The prices are pretty expensive for average food, so I wouldn't go there for lunch again. I heard they have more special items with game meats for their dinner menu so perhaps their dinner is better.

The one plus that I did like was the atmosphere. We ate upstairs, which was surrounded by windows on all sides that were slightly open to let in the breeze. There were also many pots of lush plants everywhere so we felt like we were outdoors, which was perfect for a nice summer day out.

After driving up from Washington to enjoy an exotic meal we were only able to eat American Bison burger and Crocodile gumbo - both of which had so much spice added the flavors were lost.

Save your money - go somewhere else.

Went last night on the recommendation of a friend, and it was excellent. Really strong from start to finish. NIce atmosphere, great staff. We started with a good beer, a Bell's Two Hearted IPA, and the crab nachos. Maybe the build-up had been too great, these were good but not as great as they were reputed to be. Lots of crabmeat, and totally worth having. I had the amazing gator gumbo and the PEI mussels, and both were fantastic. My wife had the mushroom bisque and a crab cake, and very much enjoyed both. We both had dessert - the cappuccino cheesecake and the chocolate lava cake. Both were excellent. Good beer, great and diverse menu, friendly staff, good atmosphere and very reasonable prices. I look forward to going back and trying some of the more exotic fare on the menu and/or some of the specials. This was a great, great dinner. We went earlyish, like 6pm, and when we left at 7:30pm it was filling up fast. Next time we might eat upstairs, but I was looking at the greater beer choices downstairs. Overall, really great dinner. Very impressed.

I came for kangaroo tenderloins but I knew it was only served on dinner menu. So I'll have to visit again.

But for lunch we started off with crab nachos and mushrooms. I think the nachos were kinda ok it just seemed like nothing special, kinda tex-mex-ish. The mushrooms however, were amazing. I was told it was mushroom country and that I this is one thing I need to try and man, was it good. The bread and cranberries and walnuts along with the sauce went along with it and blended so well. Definitely one of my favorite mushroom dishes.

For the lunch special menu they had camel burger. It was really good. The meat was soft n tender and it did not taste rough or anything.  The chips that come with it and ketchup was n interesting combination.

The rooftop is definitely a much nicer place to be than downstairs. It has like a garage built like rooftop where I'm guessing for the summer the place opens up to cool down. There's plenty of greens lying about and makes it feel naturish. Definitely a cool looking place. Downstairs looks kinda like a old brunch place.

Their list of brews were decent. I had the westmalle I believe, it was kinda dark and it tasted much more coffee-like than a Guinness would normally. Very smooth and dark.

My boyfriend and i Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon to try out the local exotic game. We were very surprised that the special for the day was a camel burger!  we decided to split the special and to my disappointment it was actually amazing...I wish we each had our own! Great staff great beer menu. Would definately go back

We had the charcuterie sampler, french fries with cheese,  and short rib taco, as well as a few good pints (Stone IPA and Dupont Saiason). Nice little place with a fantastic little menu, leaning toward a lot of game meats. Beer list (tap and bottle) was great, something for everyone.

Stopped in here before we headed off to Longwood Gardens for the first time.  The atmosphere has a nice little pub feel but the place appears to be quite huge.  And as the evening went on, the busier it got.  We got a HUGE booth for the 4 of us, which made the dinning experience comfortable.  We of course started off with the crab nachos - everything on them was good, including the crab & guac!  I then got the pulled buffalo sandwich.  It was quite tasty.  Everyone else enjoyed their meals as well (the buger & buffalo loaf).  Nothing blew my socks off, but overall it was very enjoyable.  Large beer lists & nice servers topped off the evening.  We all would stop in again, if we were in town.

Just about every time I take the first swallow of a nutty, complex Belgian beer, I wonder aloud why any other country even bothers to brew. So when I heard there was a bar mere miles from our hotel that specialized in Belgian beers, I was giddy with anticipation. Its apparent popularity (30-minute wait on a Thursday, crammed bar area) added to the hype.

Unfortunately, it didn't measure up. The beer was excellent: I enjoyed a yeasty banana-scented saison, a creamy dark brune and a traditional EPA that finished with a pleasant bitterness. Even with three highly-alcoholic drinks under my belt, however, I couldn't forgive the lackadaisical service and mediocre food.

We waited half an hour for our appetizer (crispy waffle fries with melted bleu cheese, served with "spicy" barbecue sauce that was really just regular barbecue sauce.) Then it was almost an hour before our main courses arrived. The burgers were fine, and my salad was quite good: greens, avocado, tomatoes, bacon, hard-cooked egg, homemade Green Goddess dressing. Elk chili was too chunky and bland, and my husband's elk sliders were terrible. The meat was completely tasteless and mushy. He ate one bite of one and left the rest, and the server didn't even comment when he adamantly refused her offer of a takeout container. In fact, she never asked how anything was; she also never even mentioned the long delays, much less offering an apology or explanation.

I always wonder, when I leave a crappy tip for a crappy experience, whether the establishment makes the connection. I can only hope that, in this case, they read their Yelp reviews and address their numerous problems! I was just glad we didn't chance any of the pricier entrees. Using game as an alternative to beef and pork is a great idea, but only if you know what you're doing, and Half Moon obviously does not.

We'll list the pros and cons and you can decide what your priorities are!

    Pro: fabulous crab nachos
Con: tiny burger on a crappy, dry bun
Pro: good selection of bottle and draught beers
Con: downstairs seating is awkward and uncomfortable
Pro: seating upstairs on the deck (sit-down and bar) is pleasant with lots of plants and cozy lighting
Con: awkward staff; waiters seem uncomfortable; never feel entirely welcome here
Pro: amazing pumpkin soup on special sometimes
Con: super over-priced for the quality of the meats and burgers
Pro: one of the places in Kennett that has a liquor license

The rating is for the food.  It's over priced and over hyped by the Travel Channel.

I will say that Jamie is a REAL bartender and this is the only place in Kennett that I will willingly pay for drinks.

Hahaha, a caesar salad with an add-on of a 4-oz flat iron steak?  What was I THINKING??

A lot, actually.  Ok ok, I wasn't adventurous as were my dinner mates, but all I really wanted was a balanced meal with a carnivorous touch.  So, with a delicious medium done flat iron steak I ate my caesar salad with pure pleasure :-)

Next time, I will....wait, will there be a next time?  Less psyching out would have to be the name of the game if there is a next time.

I've been to the half moon a number of times in the past and always find it to be a great experience. Obviously the game meats are the big draw for this place and they don't disappoint. The meats they have change all the time so check the menu on their website or call before you go if you're looking for a certain animal to chow down on. I've had the ostrich, buffalo and kangaroo and they were all pretty small portions of meat but really not bad for the price, and the rest of the meal usually compliments the flavor of the meat well.

One thing that I must suggest that I didn't see as many people comment on is their crab nachos appetizer. In my opinion this is a must have every time I go, and it hasn't disappointed yet. Fresh made tortilla chips of various colors, generous portions of crab, some different cheeses, guac, sour cream, etc. so delicious and it is arguably too big of an appetizer for just two people but I'm sure you'll manage.

The only negative I would say is that the waitstaff gives me weird vibes sometimes. I can't quite put my finger on it but they aren't my favorite servers I've ever had. I kinda feel like they're talking down to me but I'm not really sure. Anyway, It's a minor detail and I'm sure I'll be back in the not too distant future

Overall very enjoyable.  The menu has some exotic meats....AND a few more vegetarian options than some other places might.  Mushroom bisque, as delicious as everyone says...crab nachos, not worth 13.00.  It was a generous portion, with lots of 'stuff' on it, but I wouldn't know how much of it was crab, to be honest.

We also had the cheese plate, which gave us nice portions of cheese and bread.  Could have used a teeny bit more quince paste.

My salad was very fresh.  My companion had the 'putz', a vegetarian wrap.  It was HUGE and he said it was surprisingly good.  Our other dining companion got the crab cake.  She noted that it was good.  It wasn't a tiny portion, but the roll it came on was HUGE, so it looked puny in comparison.

Service was excellent.  I love the restaurant itself.  It's part of an old building so it has lots of wood trim and older fixtures.  The electricity went out for about 2 minutes (when it rains in the summertime, it happens in older structures. ) but then a generator kicked in and all was well.

It can get loud in there, just so you know.  We did enjoy it and will be back.

If you want to eat something that you most likely have never eaten in your life, Half Moon Saloon is the place to go.  I've been multiple times and had great food and service each time.  Some items we've had before - Kangaroo Burger, Rabbit Sausage, Ostrich burger, Bison Burger, and Crab Cakes.  Never any complaints!  Also have a ton of great beers on tap including local brews like Twin Lakes and Yards brewery.

I had high hopes for the Half Moon but left disappointed.

Their "Exotic Mushroom" appetizer had them on their way to a 5 star review. It was wickedly delicious. One of the best, and possibly the best appetizers I've ever had.

Sadly, it went down hill from here. Our entrees took far too long to come out - the place was not busy. I had the Kobe beef sliders. The sliders were OK. This is my first experience with Kobe beef. If this was a good example I'll just stick with a good Black Angus burger. The fries were excellent though.

My wife had the "Billy Bob" - chicken stuffed with brie on an english muffin.  Not much brie, the chicken was a little dry and the english muffin just didn't work for this dish.

The most disappointing part was the poor service. Our waitress got off to a good start but once she brought our entrees she disappeared, never to return again in spite of our request for more ketchup, a napkin and the menu.  I was generous with a 10% tip and did something I've never done before - wrote "Ketchup, Napkins, Menu" on the check.

The place is not cheap.  We paid $30 for lunch for two with one appetizer between us.  There are a lot of seemingly nice places in Kennett Square - about 3 minutes from Longwood Gardens and next time we'll try one of them.

Ok  so this little gem is known most for their use of wild game throughout the menu and being able to introduce the masses to different tastes from these "new" meats like Elk, Ostrich, Bison, Kangaroo, Alligator etc.

The real reason to come here is the quiet atmosphere, the extensive drinks list and the exquisite company (sorry bring your own).  My wife and I had the occasion to have a nite to ourselves.  Now please take my advice that when you get the opportunity to take a woman of such class as my wife out for the evening...do it.  When she walks in a room she glides, her smile lights up the room, her eyes sparkle in the dim lights and she radiates class and grace.

We took advantage of the rooftop garden area (indooors of course this time of year) and it was beautiful.  Wood fire, low lights, great ambiance.  Nice wine, beer and spirits selection.  She had wine and I whiskey.  We chose our entrees (a nice shrimp and pasta dish for her and the bison burger for me) and I took all advantage to just listen to her and watch her face through the meal.  I lost myself in those eyes and there was not one other person in that place but her.  The meal was nice and as expected.  Our waiter was attentive but knew we wanted to be alone.

Worth going back.  Have also been just for drinks.  Either way you'll love it.  Just not like I did.

Went in here with a fairly large group on a Wednesday evening. I've had it bookmarked for quite some time because I've heard through the rumor mill that they might still serve lion. This was sadly not the case. As it turned out, lion has been off the menu probably for nearly the same amount of time The Lion King left theaters.

And while my taste buds still long for the king of the jungle, I did manage to eat the rest of the royal court that evening. We ordered the wild game sampler which included kangaroo meat, wild boar sausage, buffalo meat and I believe they also threw in some antelope. As my individual dish, I ordered a bear-elk burger on special. I was contemplating adding on a side of alligator to my dish but I didn't want to further test my Noah's Ark belly on uncharted waters.

The service? Good. The waitress we had was pretty prompt about asking if we needed refills of this/that, or if we wanted to order more drinks. Their beer selection goes on for pages and pages. That's a sign of awesomeness in my eyes.

My entree itself was OK. The bear-elk patty was obscenely gamey, as I could've figured. The waffle fries I ordered were good. Had the burger been beef, it would have been a very plain jane and underwhelming burger. The novelty factor of the wild meat helped it save face, because well, I'd eat anything with a face.

Stopped in here for dinner after a wine tasting at Flickerwood based on its Travel Channel fame.  We shared the crab nachos which were awesome (see pics).  At first, I was totally intimidated by the plate, but there were so good that we almost finished all of them.  The crab meat was tasty, and the chunky guac on top was awesome.  The blue corn chips were also great.  The only thing I would say is that the feta is unnecessary.

For my entree I went with the buffalo burger.  I had never eaten buffalo, and I wasn't feeling the llama burger that was on special that day.  The buffalo was good, very lean, but still juicy.  My dining partner did go for the llama, and he really enjoyed it.  I took a taste and I didn't think it was that different than a beef burger.

There was also a nice selection of beers.  I really don't hang out in Kennett Square, but it was a nice spot.

You will love this place if you like to try their Wild Game selections. They serve elk, gator, emu, ostrich, kangaroo, wild boar, antelope and buffalo meat. They have daily specials on the type of meat they're serving, so you can't get all the meat that I listed up there, but most of them. I definitely recommend getting their Gator Gumbo for appetizers ($8 for large, $4.50 for small). For the main dishes, try their Kangaroo Loin (32 bucks), Wild Boar Strip Loin ($30). They're extremely tender, lean, yet so tasty!!!

For lunch, give their burgers a try. Their Buffalo Burgers are delicious  and tender. Don't be cheap and order extra toppings (different type of cheese, etc). Order their mushrooms for your toppings, this place's in a mushroom town so their mushrooms taste pretty good. The emu burger's ok, it has less flavor and less juicy than the Buffalo Burger.

Overall, you should definitely stop by here, this place's cool. Even though it's very pricey and the portion's not all that big, it's very delicious. It's made it to Travel Channel several times. You guys should also stop by Longwood Gardens, which's pretty close from here. It has such beautiful gardens, flowers and plants.

    Bright, spacious interior. Tasty eats.

Our friendly server had strep throat, so I offered to buy her a drink - alas, she was only 18. I still took advantage of their fully stocked bar, having an Irish car bomb to celebrate St. Patrick's Day (or Pi day, as mathematicians know).

Their chili is striking, with a special, smoky flavor that I haven't experienced in a long time. (Will be back for more, for sure.) Be sure to try their famous 6 oz. buffalo burger ($9.75; get it medium rare), which comes with crispy house potato chips, lettuce and tomato, onion, and a pickle. (If you like peppers, they can get you raw pepper slices.) Naturally-raised buffalo, 97% fat free, and moist, it's a treat.

    3.75 stars.

Some years ago, when the great love of my life was still a sapling, I stopped at Half Moon with my companion for an unexpected late dinner. I remember relaxing by the windows, gazing at an old clock's alabaster face glowing against the chilly night sky, admiring the light dusting of snow on the streets, and enjoying a comforting meal. With a dose of anticipation and glee, I stepped into Half Moon over the weekend with my companion, and prepared to indulge in its storied menu of game dishes.

Unfortunately, our hostess was quite rude, and left us feeling unwelcome as we slid into a half booth close to the back. Shaking her memory from our minds, we studied the cocktail and dinner menus, deciding on a French Orchid (Grey Goose, Chambord, and a splash of pineapple), brown IPA, crab nachos, gator gumbo with chorizo, and the game sampler.  Then, our faces relaxed into lazy smiles in the low candlelight, and we giggled as absurd conversations from the bar floated across the room. Hungry from an earlier bike ride in Philadelphia, we were pleased when the gumbo and nachos soon arrived.

The crab nachos presentation was elegant and gorgeous. The blue corn chips and warm crab salad were layered so that the chips appeared to be lotus petals lightly cloaked in toppings, the avocado salsa's green and red colors interspersed with lumps of crab and a snowfall of grated cheese. The dish was also quite tasty, particularly the buttery, citrus-infused salsa and pungent cheese, but it was difficult to distinguish the taste of crab from the other flavors on the plate. As my companion remarked, we could have had shredded chicken and the taste would have been the same.

I greatly enjoyed the comforting quality of the gumbo, but had the impression that pureed beans formed part of the soup's base. The soup's richness was nicely offset by a lingering heat, and the alligator meat's flavor was a welcome addition to the dish, but I wished that more generous portions of alligator, chorizo, and the holy trinity were added to the soup, as it sometimes felt like I was eating separate dishes when scooping from different areas of the bowl. After several bites, the soup became less interesting, and I slid the bowl across the table.

The wild game sampler arrived last, showcasing filets of kangaroo, ostrich, and wild boar accented with a tart cherry sauce and a gougere. The ostrich was deeply flavorful, and perfectly cooked until it was firm but moist. It provided the night's outstanding culinary moment, and my fork locked tangs with my companion's utensils as we struggled to get the last bite. The tart cherry ver jus completely captured my palate and imagination, and I greedily dragged my spoon across the plate to discern its cinnamon, pink peppercorn, and offal flavors. The kangaroo and wild boar both had interesting flavors but were a bit chewier than we preferred. By this time we were stuffed, and it seemed a challenge to continue.

If you order slightly differently (try the local goat cheese appetizer, any of the numerous local brews on tap, and an ostrich dish with cherries), I think your meal at Half Moon can be phenomenal. Our server was a sweet, spunky girl who understood our leisurely mood, and eagerly answered our questions about the chef and restaurant. The restaurant's setting was comforting and fun, with live music that started soon after we arrived. And the upstairs section, with its wrought iron tables and chairs, hanging plants, and large windows, would be perfect for a summer or winter party.  Recommended.

Loved it!!!! Loved the Llama burger so awesome, Buffalo Sliders were spicy but great and blackened Alligator was amazing, loved the atmosphere the neighborhood was small and quiet, great service.

The rooftop deck great place to eat with an added view to die for, well almost if the sun was out but the breeze was comfortable, I just may not go back to Chicken lol, after eating Rabbit the other day and now this today and eating Elk and Ostrich about a month ago these are so much more exciting to the palette, I'd definitely drive 3 hours ago to go back. Everyone should give it a try

Had dinner here this past weekend and thought the experience was ok. (Have eaten here two other times over the years)  Like other posters have stated, the theme on their menu (NOT the decor of the restaurant) is game meats - boar, ostrich, kangaroo, antelope, alligator, etc. (Sorry, no bald eagle or anything crazy like that.)

We started with the chef's sampler (boar, ostrich and antelope) which was very good.  The meat was cooked medium rare and you could definitely taste the differences in the meats. (not everything tastes like chicken)  We also had the local goat cheese which was excellent.

For my main course I had the antelope.  I thought it was just "ok" at best...perhaps because it was cooked medium (I wanted it a bit more pink on the inside).  The meat had no real flavor to it at that point and I was disappointed I had shelled out $28 bucks for such a small portion of meat.  So learning point - request medium rare and hope they bring it to you that way.

The beer menu is very good and the deserts we had (limoncello cake) were excellent.

Overall, this place is just "ok" in my book. Not great, not bad, but worth checking out.  In the end though, it reminded me why I eat here every few years instead of all the time.  Perhaps the thought of eat "kangaroo" just isn't appealing on a Saturday night...of course, that is just my opinion, you need to try it to make your own.

This was a great place for beer and random-meat-style food. In other words, the only case in which I wouldn't recommend their food is if you are a non-meat-eater. The reason I wouldn't recommend it is because the basic theme of the menu is "game meats". So, on the other hand, if you are an adventurous omnivore and/or beer lover, this place is for you. Their menu is largely base on game meats like buffalo, bison and other random meats that you don't encounter everyday. When our group ate there, they had ostrich, boar, kangaroo, and I even snagged an alligator gumbo. Now, I've never hunted, killed, dressed and cooked any of those animals, but I'll just trust that what they cooked and served me was what they said it was. Moreover, these game-meats were very good and every dish at the table was excellent.

They also have an outstanding beer selection that includes three rotating hand-pumped ales. And that ladies and gentlemen, is my favorite kind. (in case you were wondering).

As a frequent traveler of the country, I've learned to find restaurants that have interesting menus, offer reasonable prices, and will leave an everlasting experience of the city. A meal with your friends and family can be just as memorable as visiting an important monument in the city.

Half Moon DEFINITELY was a fantastic experience for us. The menu is very exotic and the atmosphere was great. We started our evening with cocktails, wine, & beer. We chose to sit upstairs & it was well worth it. A calm ambiance with jazz music made the mood perfect. We started with their famous crab nachos, YUM! We all ordered different items: chicken, kangaroo, venison, and steak. Their 'game menu' was extensive with everything from alligator to antelope.

The service was impeccable. They were very attentive and made sure we were always comfortable.

At the end of our evening we requested that the chef come to our table to we could compliment his cooking. Unfortunately, he was really busy working on a weekend order. We told our waitress to relay the message to him...

Overall, a great place for a fun and relaxing evening in PA. Cheers!

For years I didn't eat red meat because I didn't like the way it tasted - this place changed my mind.

Their fresh, local game meat is amazing.  I have tried the elk, ostrich, kobe beef, regular beef and loved it all.  Their mushrooms are also deliciously fresh (as it is the mushroom capital of the world) and the local beer is good too.

Their desserts suffice, but they are not as amazing as everything else.

Considering the turnover of many of shops along State Street in downtown Kennett Square, the Half Moon has withstood that test through their eclectic menu, reasonable prices, and bar options (indoor on the main floor as well as the rooftop patio bar during the warmer months is a must).

I used to work in Kennett Square and would often have lunch and the occasional Happy Hour at the Half Moon.  It can get pretty crowded on Thursday and Friday evenings, but there's usually plenty of room to sit at either bar until a table is available.  Although the menu is somewhat limited, what they do offer is unique and tasty (thier crab nachos are excellent).  I'm also quite the fan of thier Watermelon Moon-tini!

Can't be a full on great review because I was only there once, a decent time ago, but it was pretty cool.  Funky decor, laid back atmosphere, and crazy food.

If you're offended by eating animals that weren't raised on a farm, this isn't the place for you.

If, however, you're interested in eating the ultimate game - MAN! this is the place for you. Blue Moon is PEOPLE!!!!

Ok, no, lie.  But you can get ostrich and buffalo and whatnot.  And then there are specials, like alligator and yak and who knows what else.  Of course, the time I was there, they were out of a lot of the crazier stuff, so that isn't the best, but theoretically, there should be something to eat there you haven't eaten before.

The prices aren't too bad, but the more exotic the dish, the higher the prices.  For those of you non-carnivores, they also have some pretty good stuff with mushrooms, because you're practically in the mushroom capital of the US.  And on a good day, maybe you can even smell the whiffs of the mushroom farms (in case you didn't know, mushroom farms are basically just acres of crap.  but I never really smelled them in Kennett, more in Newark, DE.  But when Mary Poppins comes and the winds are a changin'... who knows).

Ok. Wasted enough time.  Cool place, has alcohol, has wild game.  Totally worth checking out.
