Hank's Texas Grill

Came with a few friends and they were both thinking management changed or something.  Food is pretty good, even though the waitress got 2 out of 3 orders wrong.

Low ratings because I watched various waitresses picking under their VERY short shorts, one adjusting her bra and many playing with each others hair near the food service area.  All of these observations were near the cook-counter area and NONE of them washed their hands after these events!

This is one of the best BBQ places I've ever eaten at. The chicken, pork, and ribs were all amazing. The okra was fried to perfection.

We were there specifically for a show so I can't comment on food; my review applies strictly to the music venue portion of Hanks.

What a cool little set up. It comes across as rustic and all Texan. I love how when you're looking up at the stage you can't help but notice the Texas flag painted over the stage. It was a little too warm for my taste but it was pretty cold and wet outside so I think they were over compensating a bit. It looked like they had packed us all in pretty good but the venue (music/stage area) isn't large so I imagine it fills up quickly. I have no idea how many it holds.

I did like that they squash any sign of stage diving, moshing and general rowdy behavior (I'm getting too old to put up with that crap). And they don't allow smoking inside like the bars/clubs in Ft Worth. They have a tented outdoor smoking area and allow you to come and go with your drinks.

For those north of Dallas it's a nice change from the usual drive downtown. I was home in 15 minutes (using speed limits as minimum speed guides) and I didn't have to battle the drunken traffic on 75 or the Tollway.

I wish I had found this place sooner.
