Happy Garden Chinese Restaurant

We called for a pick up order. The lady on the phone was very quick & to the point and rushed us off the phone when her other line started ringing.

I ordered the General Tso combination platter. The chicken was really good, but not spicy like General Tso should be. It comes with pork fried rice & egg roll. I didn't really like the pork fried rice, or egg roll. They were both bland & lacking flavor. The pork fried rice on the other hand tasted very salty.

The other guests ordered the diet menu broccoli & scallops, sesame chicken & white rice & spicy chicken with garlic sauce combination platter. The only other issue was the spicy chicken wasn't spicy.

All in all it was a pretty good place (for take out- that's all we did). And would probably go back & try maybe chicken fried rice instead of pork.

HAPPY garden? Depends on your definition of happy.

If its implies a 4 foot scowling pissed off looking woman, then certainly. For most of us, however, a smile goes a long way.

She was very snappish for no apparant reason, which explains how the whole restaurant was empty even though it was lunch time and should have been packed.

Plus when I got my food(to go obviously), she threw a pen and 2 receipts at me to sign and walked away without so much as a "Thank you."

The food was alright but I can find better service elsewhere with people who appreciate my money.
