Heaven Night Club

I would have to say this is the best gay club in Lubbock, but by far not that outstanding.  It is an 18+ club and is usually busy on the weekends, but it does overplay techno themed music.  

I do like the outdoor patio area that it has to hang out and chill at.  The drink are moderately priced, but the lines are always outragous later in the evening (But what club isn't?)  

Although, with a lack of gay clubs this is why I give it a 4...normally anywhere else would be a 2 or 3, but because it is in West Texas and the choices are so copious (yes, that is sarcasm) I will give it a 4.

Heaven Night Club is one of the hottest gay clubs in Lubbock.  I take that back, it is the hottest. (Although it's a battle between 2 gay clubs here in Lubbock.)

They always have great music, sassy bartenders as well as a pretty cool interior.

Drinks are moderately priced for Lubbock, cheap if you're coming from Austin, Houston or Dallas.

Dance the night away!

Now, if I was reviewing this for anywhere but Lubbock, Heaven would get 4 stars; however, given the lack of options for both gay clientel and good dance music in West Texas, it gets 5.

It is 18+, located in the Depot District and always has a good turnout on Saturday. Thursdays are kind of touch and go, but during the spring and summer they have foam parties that are both enjoyable and well attended. They normally smatter in a couple of drag performances nightly, but if you've seen it once ...

Sometimes they have special events, such as: DJs, specialty dress night and more recognizable drag performers and those are always good bets for fun.

Drinks are usually $5 for a basic double well and somewhere around $2 for a beer. I would recommend the bartender that is to the left when you walk in - he's a friend, a very nice guy and mixes a good drink.

Music is normally a combination of dance tracks, pop, techno and a little rap and latin stuff thrown in for good measure.

It's not just for gay people either - I have a lot of straight friends that go out and have a blast.

Friday night is "straight night" but I don't know anything about it.
