Gastropub is a handy bit of terminology. Â Pub or bar food can be a bit ordinary. Â Big on comfort but light on imagination. Â The HPH is a nice addition to a lean category. Â The menu has some tasty twists on standard fare. Â We had the Beet Burger which featured a Niman Ranch beef patty (a little thinner than I like) but with sliced beets, blue cheese and other fixings. Â There was an interesting looking Lamb and Bacon Salad that held promise, but we had the Waldorf type salad that was big enough for two. The fish and chips were nicely battered and the chips are great. Â The beer selection is more than ample and there is a very reasonable wine selection. Â The prices are great and the joint was jumping with nice energy and our server was just terrific, very helpful. Â The chef even came out and said he'll be focusing on seasonal ingredients from local sources. Â We'll be back for sure.
Review Source:We absolutely love Heritage Public House. Â Wonderful brew selection and they do have a cider on tap for my gluten free partner. Â The food is masterful, with layers of flavor, obviously created by a thoughtful chef. Â
The wait staff are wonderful.
My comment to those who complain about waiting for their food orders is that this food is crafted, not mass produced. Â You are in the wrong dining place if you want that.
