This is one of those places I thought I was going to be able to read a book in peace. I sat down in what I thought was a depressing relic of a bar filled with town folk who have a disagreeable disposition towards sobriety. The type of place I could be ignored. This place turned out to be quiet the experience as it filled up with various oddities of person-hood which 100 years ago would be the marvelled and intensely studied by the Royal Geographic Society of London. The place made Mos Eisley Cantina look like a Midwestern church on Wednesday night bible study. I was waiting for Han Solo to fire the first shot at Greedo when a Drag Show started. My evening only got more interesting from there. Needless to say not much reading got done. The only reason why this gets 4 instead of 5 stars is because the Calzone had excellent bread but the ingredients inside were like that of a Hot Pocket. But it was pretty good for bar food. I will definitely go back... when I am done reading my book.
Review Source:I live in Edmonds and I know and have worked with the owner in the past great guy. I finally had an opportunity to catch up with him recently at his club. Hot spot he's got its going on he doesn't do any thing half ass! When your over on that side of the water stop in the HI-Fidelity Lounge for some great food, drink, and entertainment!
Review Source:Who would have thought that Bremerton had a bar you could go to and get some vegan food, not me. There are so many options on the menu, I had a hard time choosing. I do wish they would post this information on the website though so I can be more prepared next time. I had the best brown rice and tofu bowl in my life. I can't wait to try the vegan nachos or one of the sandwhiches next time. The seated bar area is a little crowded here, but there is a huge back room with some couches and some painted fish on the whale. While it was a little cold, it was the prefect place to start a night out in Bremerton. I can't wait to go back.
Review Source:this is one of my favorite watering hole in bremerton. they have amazing food....not only is it decently priced but, it's creative, vegan veggie, and omnivore friendly...tasty and creative. They had vegan enchiladas on special for cinco de mayo....best i've ever had...we're talking http://bomb.com. there drinks can be fancy(which=a bit pricey)...but they have shots of well whiskey for $3...best price in town for a good ol' shot-o-fermented grain mash.
Review Source:Went back to the Hi-Fidelity Lounge for cocktails and dinner the other night and wanted to update my previous review. The cocktails were again amazing. Had a strawberry basil daquari-tini that was perfect, not too sweet and with wonderful flavor. Hubby had something equally unique and delightful. We let Chris the bartender surprise us and he hasn't disappointed yet. He was perfectly attentive--meaning he was personable and always there when you needed him, but didn't hover. Perfect. The food was delicious. Definitely not typical bar food. The paninis are really amazing and innovative and worth going there to sample. Mine was a twist on a Vietnamese sandwich with pork, shredded carrots, jalapenos, etc. Spicy and perfect. The Reubenesque was beef and salami and the usual fixings but on the grilled panini it was to die for! French onion soup was flavorful and chef would not tell me the secret herb I was tasting, so I'll just have to go back and sample it again. There new menu contains many vegetarian and vegan options too. So another really perfect evening at the Hi-Fi. The staff there really makes this place, they are talented, charming and smart professionals working in a well kept secret in Bremerton of all places.
Review Source:This was my first bar outting since moving back to bremerton. The bar is tiny, Â but the backroom/stage area is large. Â Has great sound for shows. The drinks were good, but expensive compared to other bars I attend. The decor is super cool and has a pacific island theme. So all and all a nice little surprise in a dull town.
Review Source:Fantastic cocktails, for sure! A nice blend of old standards and new concoctions. Food's pretty good as well. And, frankly, decent bar hangouts are limited in Bremerton, to say the least. The bar area toward the front is nice. The back room's a bit like retro basement style but okay.
However, of the half-dozen times I've been here, I've always felt like I was imposing upon the bartender/server/owners. And that's whether I was ordering a drink, paying my bill, or simply coming in the front door. In the beginning, I went back to keep giving the place just one more try, but I'm done.
Door opens. Bar appears in front of me. I saddle up and take my seat.
A bartender by the name of Kelly saunters over, already knowing what I want. She slides over a healthy dose of just what the doctor ordered: a Jack shot.
"Long time no see cowboy", she says.
"Too long Miss Kelly, too long."
I wander around her new joint, and it's just like I expected: stylish, comfortable, and suave. I mean to order food, but instead of the words "Mac and cheese" she beats me to the punch with "Another Jack?". Damn -- she's too good.
Over the PA comes some funky jazzy tune from a better decade than this one. I relax in my spot, and settle in for the night; yup, this is the spot.
This is a sweet, sweet little spot.
The cocktails here are well crafted, delicious and stiff. The staff are totally cool and nice. There is a great bar upfront and a back room with a little stage. The back room looks like it was lifted out of a 1970s basement (in a good way). It's a cool place to hang out with friends, with couches and low tables to gather around. The night we went, it got a little loud once the bands took the stage, but I am tempted to check it out on Jazz Night, which according to the little fliers laying around happens on Thursdays. The food is ok - it serves its purpose - it's yummy and it soaks up alcohol. All in all, it's a great place to hang, if I lived in Bremerton I'd definitely be a regular.
Easily my favorite bar in Bremerton. The staff is great. The drinks are stiff. They also have one of the better liquor and beer selections around and the bartenders really know and many times love what their selling. The music is good without being so loud it drowns out conversation. The food that they do make is excellent. The lounging areas are cozy and great for groups of friends. There are live groups coming though pretty regularly now that is slowly making it one of the better places to go catch live music in town. Decent crowd of kind regulars. Happy hour is solid and beer pancakes brunch on Sunday is delicious and one of a kind. I've spent way too many nights here since this place first opened. Sometimes as much as 2 to 3 times a week for a quick drink or a full night of drunken stupidity. If your in Bremerton you really owe it to yourself to try this place out.
