Highland Park Community House

Look around and you will imagine ballroom dances from the past. Listen closely and you might just hear music from way back when or chatter from guests over the years.
The Community House is magical and grand in every way. The ballroom with it's soaring ceiling heights and giant French doors draped with velvet curtains will make anyone feel grand.

My stepdaughter had her Bat Mitzvah here and the amenities of the place were absolutely ideal. When we rented the space we were allowed to bring in our own caterer, which is something not a lot of places let you do. The guests had room to move around and there is easy access to the bathrooms downstairs made possible by an elevator.

The space itself is in the process of being lovingly restored, and the lights in the ballroom are all original.

What I like most about the Community House is that it rents its space to tenants who are involved in the arts and its location makes it ideal for live music concerts and other performances. They do have a parking lot on the side, but street parking is super duper easy!

My sister had her wedding at the Highland Park Community House 12 years ago & it was so lovely that I had my wedding reception there this past September. They had remodeled some things - kept the classic look, but improved the hardwood floor, upgraded the bathrooms, etc. I had 175 guests, which was optimal for the space. We had plenty of room for dancing without having to move any tables. We had a live band on the beautiful stage. And there's a separate "living room" which is carpeted, giving it a warmer, homier feel, which is where we had the bar. There's a lot of room outside for kids to run around if the weather holds. I highly recommend this venue. The price is excellent for what you get!
