The Hippodrome Nightclub and Lounge

I kinda like it here! The Hippodrome nightclub can get packed on the Saturday nights, but the music is so good so you'll quickly forget about how many people are in such a small space.

The drinks and the price are steep. If you go with at least four people I suggest you just split the costs of bottle service. By doing so, you usually skip the cover price, have plenty to drink and you'll have somewhere to retreat to when you need a break from the dance floor!

So we we're in town for conference and we wanted to see what the city had to offer......we wen't to a Kareoke bar and met a guy that told us if we wanted to have a very good time to go the this spot The Hippodrome. We wen't and got in, their was a cover charge in which my friend paid and he offered us the VIP section for 200.00, we told him that we we're gonna check it out and it was located on the back of all the action. That nigh it was a Monday night and it was BURLESQUE NIGHT. They has a special of lap dance for $20 I saw a guy getting a lap dance and it wasn't worth the money at all.I'd rather spend my money on some drinks...........the dancers looked ok the bartender was better looking than the go-go dancers. The drinks were pretty much water down, I talked to the bartender and told her if it's like this dead all the time and she said no its the most busiest night, I looked around and only 25 people were their (excluding the dancers).......The dancers are willing to hang out after the night if you willing to spend the money.....Some are good looking and the others are meh!!!! My suggestion is go somewhere else!!!

I really don't know who voted this club as the best other than the Advertising guys and for that they should probably be fired.

The club has potential with multiple dance floors and I like the patio. Normally I am a HUGE fan of cages and stripper poles, but only when they are inhabited by beautiful women. The drink specials were decent enough and probably needed for beer goggles.

Really I think they are trying to cover too many bases with pool tables, games, and beer pong. But the decor isn't very clubb-ish. I guess for the Monterey locals it is good enough compared to driving to SF but I know I won't be coming here again. It was just rather, tired.
