I came here last night to see a co-worker's band play. It's a tiny place that will probably fit about 25-30 people comfortably inside. I would call this place a dive that gives opportunities for local bands to perform. Not happy with the $5 cover, but oh well, they need to cover costs somehow. Drinks were super strong. $7 for a ketel one soda. I don't think I'd ever come back randomly, but that's only because it really isn't my scene anymore. Decent sound and you'll leave with your ears ringing.
Review Source:This small club is in the basement of a Mexican restaurant. It's nothing fancy, but the people are nice, the sound is good, and it's not a bad place to play if you're a touring band looking for a bay area stop outside SF. Loading gear is a minor nuisance due to a flight of stairs. And lot parking will cost a few dollars. But as small venues go, it's decent.
Nearby are lots of places to eat, and of course, the ocean, with great views. A nice way to pass a few hours if you are either going to a show here, or playing one.
This is a small bar supporting local talent. Â If you are coming from a large "metropolis" expecting something far from "amateur" bands than keep walking. Â Some nights there is better talent than other nights. Â Drinks are the same price as any other local bar and the food upstairs is great. Â It is a great place to listen to music, grab a few drinks and move on.
