"The Happiest Place on Earth" (there is dive bar in Vegas called this but I'm stealing i for this place).

This place has all of the elements that make up a great dive bar: cheap drinks, good food, AND a take-out beverage case (when you live in NJ and bars close absurdly early, the importance of a take-out service rates very highly).

The food is actually better than good and while I have not (yet) tried the PB&J wings (no, that is not a typo as one of their wing offerings is PB&J), anything that I have ordered here was served up quickly and well done. I also have not tried any of the offerings on the 'loaded-fries' menu on the back, but any place that has an entire menu page dedicate to such fare offerings needs to be commended.

Last time there, they had a $2 beer special on some kind of winter beer... in June, but that's jut the kind of place that this is. PBR tall boys with wings are the Tuesday (I believe) special and while I have yet to watch a football game here (again, yet), watching a few baseball games was cool.

This place is great at what it is not.

Great local bar. This is the kind of place where you go and everybody knows your name (Cheers much haha).

This bar is located on a side street and is so hidden, its easily missed. But it's a gem.
The HOB has a good draft selection and has plenty of TV's around the entire bar and always has some game on. Bartenders are all great and the owner is very outgoing.
Wings are superb. One of my favorite places.

It's been quite a few years since my husband and I came here. After leaving another local bar because of crap service and not even able to order we decided to come here. I had the bacon cheddar burger and my husband had the plain burger. Both came with fries and we BOTH ATE THE PLATE CLEAN. It might be a local typical dive bar but the burger was the best I've had in a long time.... And we eat A LOT of burgers. The bun was fresh and not too small or oversized and fit the burger perfect. The burger itself was juicy but not dripping and didn't shrink down to a hockey puck... It was delish. I'd def come here again when I'm craving a burger!

Nice neighborhood "dive" bar.  Typical bar food, reasonably priced with weekend entertainment.  Nice well-behaved crowd.

Love this place! I go their every week, usually during the week because of the crowds on the weekend. I have had an issue with one of the servers, because she was slow and ignorant, but she has gotten much better. Owner is really nice and caring. Bartenders, all but one-ish, are really good. I love their wings, and so does my wife. If you like quiet small bars, stop by during the week, you might enjoy it.

The HOB is your quintessential dive bar.  I lived directly across the street for 5 years and had to listen to the screaming drunks and rowdy karaoke crowd.  Once I turned 21 and got to actually patronage this place, I understand why everyone was so wasted.  Perfect place to sit inside, away from light and drink cheap draft beer and pretty decent bar food.  It's a Bordentown staple, where businesses don't seem to last very long.  Gotta love the HOB.

Good atmosphere. Dart board, jukebox, multiple flat screens. I got a "cuban" sandwich, which was pretty decent. I noticed that it had turkey and ham on it, rather than the usual roast pork and ham, but it worked. My only complaint is the brand X diet soda that I got... It was like something that you would expect from a WalMart can.

Great food for a little hole in the wall bar off the beaten path.  Great place to visit on a snowy day, and Saturday night karaoke is a blast!  Great drinks at great prices!  Kudos to Mary and her staff!

So using the iWant program on my iphone I found this awesome pub.  Just traveling through and staying nearby, I'm not sure there is anyone out there with the destination of Bordentown, NJ, I gave this little pub a try, and man was I glad I did.  If you are looking for a cheesy chain bar this is not your place.  On the other hand if you are looking for a cool local bar with great food and a cool Cheers TV show local atmosphere you are in luck.  I you are close go to this pub.

The HOB Tavern is a local pub in the town of Bordentown and a place where you can always find a great beer on tap. The HOBs food is surprisingly really good, with many of their signature sandwiches named after local historical figures. The Clara Barton sandwich and sweet potato fries are my favorite. Besides their food, the HOB usually  has something going on whether its Ladies Night (Tues), live music (Weds), or Karaoke (Sat) there is always a fun time had. Tons of drink and food specials available as well.
