The Holiday's vibe is a little odd sometimes, but overall it's a really nice alternative to the noisy, hipster bars I typically visit. Their seating is really cushy and the 70s vibe makes me feel like an extra in "Boogie Nights."
The downsides: a bit pricey (esp. package) and the "regulars" can seem a bit stare-y and territorial.
Overall, a nice alternative to The Homy, The Brothers, etc.
Not to split hairs, but the Holiday is not a dive bar as other reviewers may lead you to believe. Â Vinyl chairs stolen from a VFW in 1978 and bartenders who know how to pour an ample amount of alcohol in their drinks does not a dive bar make.
If you want to grab a drink at a place where you won't find 21 year-old skanks ordering blender drinks or meatheads with too much cologne, this is the place to do that.
