I'll be honest: I was pleasantly surprised to see that there was a Hooter's in the small town of Bay City, but because of that, I kept my expectations low. As I walked in I saw a sign saying that there were $1 draft beers...pretty good! I had twenty wings and they were really good...so good I came back a few times over my two week stay in Bay City. All of the women working there were extremely nice and gorgeous. A good place to go watch some sports games.
Review Source:Filthy dirty, no soap in bathroom, bathroom door locks don't work. Slow service because cooks kept having orders sent back as they were wrong. Dirt on floor, merchandise was a mess, windows greasy, menus not clean. Airhead waitresses who think they're hot but not. Will not be going back.
Review Source:Let's face it... You only go to Hooters for two things: The hot wings and the waitresses. Â
So I guess i'll start with the hot wings, I've been going to Hooters at least twice a year since I was 11 and now I'm 27.
I was alway a fan of their boneless 3 mile island wings, but as the years have gone by the wings have taken a sad turn for the worse. Â I remember the six nice meaty chicken strips of my youth and I've solemnly watched them slowly get thinner and smaller as I progressed in age to small, lame tidbits of that once mighty bird. Â
The waitresses have also been on a downhill slide.  When I was 18-19 the waitress were fun, attractive, hardbodied, 25 yr old women who not only knew how to take your order correctly, but also how to have an intelligent conversation with their patrons.  Now, the waitresses are  coke thin, fresh out of high school, numb from the neck up girls that think that they deserve a tip based on the fact that they were hot shit in high school and haven't hit freshman 15 yet...
Each time I have ate there the service has been slower and slower. During my last visit earlier this week the beer taps werent  working so you had to get bottled beer, which was really a turn off myself and those in my party.
The food selection and quality has also really gone downhill since the new ownership purchased the restaurant last year. Â One of the worst hooters I've been to, and it's sad because it's my hometown one.
located next to the Liberty Marina (owned by the city). Â flanked on the other side by Pier 6 marina (privately owned).
interesting aside: it has a minigolf (and video gaming, including xbox/ps3/etc) setup in the parking lot, but that is a third party vendor closer to the marina.
standard hooters fare that you find everywhere else.
the "scenery" here leaves MUCH to be desired, so docked two stars here.
3 stars overall.
