We stopped in with our four-year-old after visiting the La Habra Children's Museum. Â It was a Saturday afternoon and, predictably, the place was pretty dead. Â We ordered a BLT, a cheeseburger, and a side of onion rings, and the food, while slow in coming, wasn't bad for a bar.
My little one was permitted to play pool, darts, and virtual poker. Â Yeah, we're those kind of parents, and we aren't allowed to indulge in these activities too often. Â The girl made a side shot, yo, and whether it's indicative of a future in physics or professional pool, I'm totally down.
There really isnt anything in la habra so i gave this 2 stars. It is kinda dirty and smelly and the food is straight from the microwave and costco. The tvs were ok though. The waitress was nice n it was pretty empty for an nba finals game.
Id prob go to brea instead and chill at buffalo wild wings or bjs or taps. This place is just so so.
PART OF THE DIRTBAG RUN REVIEW SERIES:
Hot Shots is a dive that is really trying to be a restaurant that's trying at night to be a club. While often the idea tends to attract people for sports games and UFC events for the cheap grub and affordable booze, it doesn't really work at night.
Granted I went on both a Friday and Saturday night during the past Fall and current Winter season, but each time I was there with my buddies, we felt like a big crowd in such a big place. The highlight of being here is that service is fast, and the gals working here are easy enough on the eyes.
The regulars seem to be mostly the locals, with a suprising number of the younger crowd around, and lack of older cats and dogs lurking around. Maybe it's the DJ spinning old school hip hop loudly into the big hall there. Maybe because it's hard to play pool with the volume so high. Or maybe it's just because, while the place has great potential, it doesn't really make it happen.
Still the drinks are well mixed, and who could argue with a pretty gal handing you a smile and a brew with each round?
Good for a drink and a shot, if not just a cameo.
This place is okay .Nothing special . It's has about 4pool tables $1 a Game . Went on a sat. Night and it was nearly empty .max 13 people inside they had a dj that was playing old school music Â
No on was dancing . A bit pricey for la habra  though .wouldn't go back ,not my type of place
