Went for brunch this morning. Â Was excited to try it based on friend's recommendations and the menu posted on their website for brunch. Â It is not a buffet so when we got there we looked at the menu and realized it had been way simplified from what was on the website menu and more expensive. Â Beware if you want duck confit hash or an exciting seafood medley eggs Benedict, they do not offer that. Â Based on the fact that we were the ONLY TABLE in this huge beautiful restaurant it seems like their brunches are not successful anymore and therefore they are offering less and less. Â I had my heart set on the seafood Benedict but I settled for the regular one with bacon. Â They gave us a choice of prosciutto, regular bacon, or Canadian bacon. Â My boyfriend loves Canadian bacon so he ordered that. Â I ordered regular bacon but neither of us got what we wanted. Â They gave me prosciutto and said they were out of Canadian bacon. Â Again, seems like they don't prepare for brunch anymore. Â When our food came out our eggs were very underdone. Now, I love my eggs runny but these were almost raw and for my boyfriend who likes them over medium, he was a bit grossed out. The potatoes were only luke warm and the bacon was greasy. I was a server in a nice restaurant for the last ten years so I generally give the benefit of the doubt. Â It seemed like they through our dishes together and that they sat under the heat lamp for a while before they made it out to our table. Â Honestly, for $16 a plate for breakfast I expected a little more. Â Especially being the only table there. While we were eating we saw the cooks outside of the kitchen chatting with the wait staff. Â Very unprofessional considering the effort that was put into the food. Â Also, a lot of the dishware that we received at our table was chipped which was surprising for such a fancy looking place. The bottomless mimosas were very good since they have fresh squeezed juice but $15 seems a little high compared to most places. This place has pretty good reviews so maybe we will have better luck if we try them for dinner sometime. Â We just moved in across the street and were really hoping this would be one of our local places. Â Oh well.

I tried to email this to the two addresses on your website, but they both failed.
This review is negative due to the wine experience and the service, not the food.

My wife and I have dined at you restaurant several times, for both dinner and brunch. Â We have always enjoyed the food and the restaurant.
I have continually had issue with the wine machine.  I do not like the self service wine machine.  I enjoy the wine, but the machine does not meet my expectations.  Last night I was trying to get a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon to enjoy before my dinner.  I got a wine card and tried to get one of the three  Cabs that looked good to me.  I ended up only getting a tasting (1.5 ounce?) from the first one, and the other one was out.  I finished my taste and liked it, so went back for full glass.  2 of the cabs were empty and there was no sign of it getting refilled, even though I asked.  I settled for the third Cab, and to my frustration, there was only a 1.5 ounce taste left in that one.  At the time, there were at least 4 empty bottles of red wine.  It took at least 15 minutes, and we were already past the first course before I had my wine.  This was very frustrating to me and took away a lot from my enjoyment of the meal.
I would also like to say the waiter was very inattentive, and was always missing. Â The two busboys were far more attentive, and asked us if we needed anything. Â The serving and ordering was poorly timed. Â He also took the wine list almost as fast as he left it say he would bring it back in a few minutes. Â I guess this left out the option of me ordering a bottle, instead of waiting for the empty bottles to be refilled in the machine.
I enjoy your restaurant, and would like to continue giving you my business, but not if the experience is like last night. Â Dining there is not an inexpensive outing, and I expect more.
I would appreciate you thoughts concerning my experience.
My wife and I first went to Two 40 South with another couple in June and had a good time. Â Part of the experience was due to the unique wine bar. Â The only complaint I had was that they made my Negroni (I know, this is a WINE bar) with Aperol, which didn't work. Â The second time we had dinner at Two 40 the service was not as good as the first time, but the dinner was fine. Â We had dinner again two weeks ago, but the service was terrible and the dinner was barely adequate. Â There were only about 10 or 12 patrons in the restaurant, so I didn't know why the service was so poor. I like to have a cocktail before dinner and when I asked if the bartender used Grand Marnier in their Cadillac margaritas, I was told yes. Â When I got the bill Two 40 South had charged me a separate $10 for the Grand Marnier. Â Two 40 South started off with a bang, but we won't be going back.
