Randomly found this place after getting Yogurtland with two of my girlfriends. I was in the mood for something refreshing and fruity, and Adam (the bartender) suggested I try The Voilet. It was exactly what I had in mind - not too sweet, and definitely refreshing!

Everything we tried was delicious, including the Uva Bella (if you don't like your drinks too sweet, ask for this without the simple syrup), Moscow Mule, Casa Margarita, and French Martini.

Adam did a great job recommending cocktails based on our preferences, and also let us sample some drinks that he was experimenting with. Would give it 4.5-5 stars if they had fresh jalapeños so that we could have tried the Berry Spicy Margarita (we were there early, so you would think everything would be available), but overall we had a great experience.

The lounge at Hotel Casa 425 is simple, modern, not to hip but not to square, reasonable place for a drink.

I can't give a great review because the people working the bar come off a little arrogant. I'm paying them not the reverse.

I was excited to have cocktails with the girls on a friday night. The martini menu looked good and so did their specialty cocktails. We came in after happy hour, bummer because the drinks are realllllly pricey afterwards. We went to the patio and sat at a table we were served pretty quickly. The staff are friendly and I liked that the server gave us a recommendation and also said what we were ordered was pretty sweet and we could try something else like it that wasnt as sweet. I really liked her honesty. We finally were able to move by a fire place. The patio is really cute but it closes really early (pretty understandable considering it is a hotel with guests) but we had to down our drinks that we had just received without warning. There is hardly any space inside to sit so we ended up leaving a 14 dollar martini behind (well, half of it. okay less than half. I downed it before I left. Dont judge me). The cocktails are really sweet and not as good as the description. I would go back though for happy hour to see how that is.

Only giving them a star, just because I have too. I want to say it was horrible service, but really I wouldn't even know since they just ignored us. We went since my girlfriend and our friend had been there before and claim to have had the best margaritas. But it didn't happen for us last night. Not even a "Hi, we will be with you" nothing. I'm very patient and I would of waited, no instead we wasted about twenty mins waiting for somebody. Rude. Learn some customer skills.

Came for Happy Hour around 5pm, so the gorgeous patio was peaceful and ideal for socializing with coworkers. We sat on comfy ottomans around a great firepit, and there were heatlamps close by for patrons at tables.

Drink selection was OK; tried the Moscow Mule, which acted legit by being served in a copper/tin cup, but there was too much ice for it to be a tasty drink. I asked for a water and they brought me a tiny glass that they never refilled. Dumb...

Ordered happy hour calamari and garlic fries, which were tasty. But all in all I wouldn't come unless I wanted to impress a colleague or a date; the nice ambiance and OK food isn't worth the price.

Terrible service, blondie was too busy talking to her friends at the bar to even noticed that I walked in. I gave them a few minutes to catch up but then it became apparent that she was ignoring me. I thought about calling her out, but I just left and spent my money else where. When the place first open we use to go there a lot because we love the ambiance but their help has always suck.

Horrible service. Drinks and food are okay but at the end of the day check your receipt because they will add on additional tips and never call you back to resolve it. Extremely unprofessional not to mention illegal.

Terrible service. I went for happy hour with a group of ladies and we were ignored. The drinks were okay, but a bit watered down. The atmosphere is nice, but I will not be returning ever again. I feel like a fool for even buying one drink, we should have left right away.

Casa 425 is a nice hotel & lounge at the end of the Claremont Village with great ambiance. If you want to impress a date before or after a nice dinner, this is your place.

They have some really delicious cocktails - they're not cheap, but they taste great and they don't skimp on any of the ingredients. They have a full bar, and an extensive menu for wines and for nightcaps: I've been there for cocktails and brandy several times.

If you can, try to order at the bar and sit in the patio, where you can grab a couch-like seat around lovely open fire areas. The trees have lights on the year-round, and it makes for a really lovely night.

I've never had food there, but it's right across from a parking garage, has fabulous ambiance and really good drinks: you really can't go wrong.

Updside: At this time I am only a fan of their drinks and the lounge area, very inviting and cozy. They have great ambiance with fire pits outside to keep you warm on chilly nights. They are not skimpy on their drinks and they are well worth the price you pay for them.

Downside: I had the Ahi ceviche appetizer ....NAH didn't care for it at all, no flavor, had a mixture of mango, onion and some very fishy tasting pieces of ahi which didn't taste good together. We tried to doctor it up a bit with some spice and lemon but it didn't help much and but unbeknownst to me there was a tortilla chip shortage that night because we only got a few chips with our ceviche.

I will give them another shot and try another appetizer next time I go there.

We have been here a couple times and really enjoy the cocktails and atmoshphere. I'm more of a neighborhood bar kind of gal, but this place is a nice change of pace. They have a mixoligist on staff that creates some awesome, unique...yummy drinks. I don't remember the name of the drink, but for example, they had a spicy berry margarita. Ridiculously tasty. We haven't tried their food, but it looks good from what I've seen. The bartenders are friendly and fun, too. Their drink menu is on the expensive side, but the fact that they use fresh, unique ingredients - I'm okay with the prices!

We tried this place when it first opened and were greatly disappointed. We decided to give it another chance on Friday and once again we were highly disappointed.

The ambiance in the patio area is attractive and a draw with its lighting, fire pits and fountains. We ordered a moscow mule ($11) and an old fashioned ($11). The moscow mule tasted like lime water so i refused to even drink it and the old fashioned was terribly watered down but drinkable. The moscow was server in a glass instead of the traditional copper cup. When we told the server about the mule she ASKED if we would like it removed from our tab. This SHOULDN'T have even been a question, it should have just been removed. Out of principle, we paid for both horrible drinks.

We really want to like this local lounge but they keep disappointing us over and over. If you are looking for a stiff drink this is not your place, please be warned.

This is a nice lounge area. Came here Friday night. We seen the pictures of the patio area and I love a nice patio so I thought I'd try it out. We got there around 9pm and the Laker game was still on so we decided to sit at the bar to watch. The ambiance is really nice, a seating area and fireplace inside, small bar area about 5 bar stools. Outside looked really nice lots of tables a few more seating areas and fire pits. So one star for ambiance.

Everything else pretty much went down hill from there. There were three bartenders that night. They were out of Stella so I asked for a hanger, they were out of that too, that's ok no big deal. They had a few beers on tap but two of the four they were out of and all the other bottled beers were in a refrigerator, so with no menu, he should have offered some suggestions, but instead he gave me an blank stare that told me he was getting impatient and I should hurry up and order. Fine, I'll have a pear cider(one of the only two beer on tap).

When I was ready for another drink I tried getting the same bartender's attention and he literally looked at me and turned around bartender TWICE.

Reasonable price for the location but I wouldn't pay half as much for the crappy service. It was a good time but most likely won't be back there's a lot of restaurants with nice patios in the area.

The only thing this place has going for it is the ambiance. Nice outside seating area. Other than that the drinks are overpriced and DO NOT ORDER FOOD. The "small plates" are incredible small and not worth it.

We came here to try the kobe beef sliders that the I.E. magazine said was one of the best burgers in the IE.

It is a very small cool lounge and also and outside area to sit.
I ordered a soda and my wife ordered an iced tea.
She took a sip and started complaining that it tasted funny like the machine is dirty or something. I complained that my coke taste funny also but i thought it was a plastic taste because of the straw but she complained that here tea tasted kind of gamey, like the taste you get when you eat lamb or other gamey animals. Once she said that , i said yeah thats what my coke taste like. it was pretty gross. Im guessing that havent cleaned there machine in awhile unless it was something different.

We ordered Calamari, fries and the beef sliders.
The fries where not good at all, i would never order them again.
the beef sliders where ok but far from being one of the best in the IE.
The calamari was the one thing that stood out. They tasted great and they give you a spicy sauce to dip them in.
I would go back for the calamari and to just chill in the lounge but i would definltly not order a soda or tea cuz its not worth the chance.
I gotta give it 2 stars just from the overall expierence but it really seems like a cool place to hang out at.

Love this place for the atmosphere, the available seating and that there isn't every college kid in town here! It's a good place to go after dinner in Claremont. Drinks are a little pricey, but if you go during Happy Hour they actually have a decent menu and prices. I love the fireplaces there. Much better place to go than the Back Abbey, especially if you have a large group.

The bar is alright not the best bar in Claremont. I have been here twice and both times I wasn't all that impressed. The drinks are mediocre and the price is high for not LA. If I wanted mixed drinks in Claremont I would go to The Press. I would only go back here if friends wanted to but never on my own.

It used to be great. Low lights at night, great food, great drinks. The last 6 months have been mediocre and now they leave the lights up. One night we asked them to turn them down and they did to the applause of the whole place. You think they would have gotten the hint. We go when we want to pay too much for average fair and drinks, way too much!

Happy Hour available 4 to 7pm every night! Seeing as most of downtown Claremonts happy hours are during the weekdays and end at 6, this is a great place. Its located in the patio area for Hotel Casa 425, very nice and unassuming. Select drinks $5 to $9 and certain appetizers $5 to $10. Good deal, good location and good service. Nice local happy hour spot!

This is a nice place to go after dinner at Eureka Burger...service is average and drinks are well priced. The atmosphere encourages you to spend some time...they have a lounge area outback which consists of a group seating area & small seating areas for up to 4 including heat lamps to keep you warm.

Long Island $11
Stella Artois bottle $6
Newcastle bottle $6
Ketle One Vodka $9

Be warned people...despite all it has going for it...apparently servers are allowed to charge whatever they want...perhaps receipts aren't checked at the end of the night for accuracy...i just checked my statement and was overcharged by nearly $10...check ur statements!!

I live down the street and Casa 425 is my favorite place to have a drink when walking around the village. I love the martinis here. My goal is to taste all of them. My favorites are the Lychee and the Violet. I've had their sliders with the fries. Both were good. This is such a relaxing place to have a drink outside by the fire pit! My only complain is sometimes they don't fully wipe down the side tables and they are kind of sticky.

Casa 425 is AWESOME! We set up a Boudoir Photo shoot in their top floor suite. The staff was so accommodating and even upgraded us to a larger room. Our clients loved the chic + modern decor and the Boudoir Photos are fabulous! They have the coolest bath that opens up into the room. We can't say enough great things about this hotel. Looking forward to shooting at this hotel again soon!

I love the Violet cocktail. Blackberries, limes, and pomegranite. They muddle it fresh right in front you and its gorgeous. http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

The atmosphere is very chic and modern in a clean, yet comfortable decor. Very Pasadena. Prices are very pasadena also. But they do have a happy hour. I don't mind indulging in their cocktails now and then. The cocktail menu is pretty nice. And the bartenders are so helpful. Menu drinks run from approx $9-$15. Not too bad. But they have fresh fruits and herbs on hand to make fresh and quenching libations. http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

Will is a great mixologist and willing to whip up something to your liking based on your preferences. He made up a green grape julep of some sort with muddled fresh grapes and gin. Really nice. He also made us an Angel's delight that is not on the menu with bourbon maybe and some cream and grenadine. http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

The last time we were there, my friend wanted a holiday drink. They didn't have any, but a quick search on our phones led us to the Spicey Gingerman and the bartender happily mixed the concoction for us and even improved it a bit. Tastes just like a gingerbread man! http://www.yelp.com/biz_…

The wonderful service I have had and the creative cocktail menu brings me back here again and again. A great place to walk to after dinner and have a liquid dessert.

Pretty white couches to lounge, glass fireplaces-- very boutique-ish reminded me of the Palm spring's Frank Sinatra esque hotels. Bar seated 6. On a Friday night, place had one bar tender. Several couples & a few "packs" of men. Late 30's crowd. A whiskey shot flight was in progress around 11 pm, so the place was ringing with laughter. A cute & intimate enough place for a date.

Flat screen TVs on mute. No music. Lights bright enough to see the red hue faces of the whiskey connoisseurs. It was late so no food, just drinks.

Was upstairs last year for a Christmas party, small rooms. To go to the restroom you had to take the elevator back down. For drinks too-- lobby level. Long echoey hallway, so heels really clanged & rang in the holidays. Company brought catered food in from an Italliene place in Upland.

Pretty place--a okay.

This was stop two on our night of bar hopping for my bestie's bachelorette party. It was supposed to be third, but The Back Abbey was filled with every college student in town, so our party of twelve booked it over here.

First thing to know is it's upscale. The feel is very Newport Beach in the 909, which is fine by me. The servers were friendly enough, happily took care of us out on the white leather lounges in their open air patio area and gave us plenty of time for last call on the kitchen. The bar has a wide selection and offers delicious house drinks. Remember what I said about Newport Beach in the 909? Pricing applies here too!

Had a great time, the place is lovely for an atmosphere lounge and will definitely hit it up again when I wish to drink something different in the cool night air.

#77 Definitely never my go-to place for drinks, but some times it just has to do. I've dropped by a handful of times since the place opened and I'm never dissatisfied with the service and the ambiance. But then again, I'm never blown away by it either. The prices are too steep for an establishment in Claremont, CA and the crowd can get a bit depressing. You know, the middle-aged single crowd that's desperately trying to bag someone that night? Yeah, it gets me down if I watch for too long.

But, the quality of their drinks is nothing to complain about and there's always plenty of room to mix and mingle or sit down and converse. I'm also a big fan of their two-way fireplace - it provides ample warmth in the cold (California) winter days. I've never made my way out to the patio though because, for some reason, there's always been some type of event out there each time I've been, but from far away it looks like an enticing option during a warm summer evening. Nor have I ever eaten any of the food that they have to offer, though their $5 apps deal during Happy Hour just might be enough to draw me back this summer. =)

I couldn't decide between 4 or 5 stars for this place. I love the atmosphere, the drinks, the food and the bartenders but the thing that makes me give it a 4 instead of a 5 is because of the prices. Their martinis range from $9-$12 and their appetizers were way too pricey for what you get.
But that being said. I love going here for drinks on a chill night with friends. It's very quaint, quiet and classy. The area inside is rather small but they have a patio area that has lots of seating including benches along this beautiful glass fire pit.
The staff is always very nice and helpful. This last time we got the most awesome bartender EVER. Too bad I didn't get his name :(

I've been a fan of a hotel bar for a long time as it tends to be a pleasent place to hang and people watch. Casa 425 meets my expectation and over the past couple of years has grown to be a great place for before or after a movie. The drinks are good and appertizers excellent...
I would recomend the place to my mother.
It is always fun to watch the hipsters and their date navagate the grown up world, so I give the place a 5...

By the way, lose the TV, if I wanted a sports bar, I'd go to the joke that is espiaus...

If NYC is the city that never sleeps, Claremont is the city that never wakes up. After finishing dinner around 9 we came to this little establishment for post dinner cocktails and Gossip Girl status lady chats. NO ONE around! This was over the weekend of that horrendous SoCal heat wave. At 9pm it was still 80 degrees outside. Everyone that it would be a great idea to sit outside in the courtyard and I must admit I thought the setting was beyond serene.

Seating/Service:There are couches and regular tables and chairs. The service was decent and the prices fair. I noticed some amazing food coming out of the kitchen but the eats end early so get those orders in asap!

Crowd: Pretty much the most random assortment of characters I have ever seen. You know when you look around and say, "wow clearly I am the most normal person here'? That was going through my mind on this night. Due to the fact this is a hotel bar, you know you're going to get a variety BUT this random topsider wearing guy who was giving elevator eyes to every girl that walked by gave me the creeps. The waitress informed us he is a regular so the gals and I had already picked out our imaginary jobs as he inched closer to our table. Story to be continued....

Skip it.

This is a wonderful place to take a date, and only a date. Don't try hitting this spot up with friends. Dont be fooled by the pictures, it's quite small, I mean it's just a hotel bar. Outside though, with the fire pits and lounging tables is where it's at. The downside, it's in Claremont and they close kind of early. The upside, the decor and the service is very good. I'd go here again and bring a date to chill talk and talk by the fire while having a couple drinks. That's about it though.

Also this place is kind of bougie and has kind of a classy vibe. The crowd that goes is so-so...a lot of claremont college people, so more east coast like vibe to it, atleast when it comes to the people there.

What a gem! I've have not stayed here, I've only been to the lounge/bar. I am soo thankful to have a nice upscale lounge to patron out here in the LaVerne/Claremont area.

The sliders and calamari were very good, the BBQ pizza had good flavor, but all of the cheese/toppings fell off and I hate when Pizza doesn't stay together. Other than that I have positive experiences.

If you want to catch a game they have flatscreens on the inside and even on a cold evening the patio is nicely lit and they will bring a heater right next to your table. Whether you are on a first date or catching up with an old friend i would recommend this place.

It is a bit pricey but i will gladly pay for good food, drinks and convenience.

Great martini's... if your into that sort of thing.

Nice environment but it reminds a bit of LA. I'm not really a huge fan of the decor although it is very nice and I have nothing bad to say about it. Neat fireplaces all over the place... inside and out. I'm just more into the smaller more intimate places.

And about those martini's they've got a ton of options. And they have their own recipes. Including but not limited to the "Bloody Mary Martini" mmmm... delish! It has tomato infused vodka in it. Try it!

They also have a decent wine and scotch list for those not into martini's.

Classy and intimate lounge--elegantly avantgarde--but a little short on space. It just wasn't my thing. Then again, it was for a--somewhat awkward and cold--high-school reunion reception.

They've got a cool firepit outside in the courtyard that I almost fell into.

Very classy and well-decorated lounge! There's an outdoor and an indoor area. Waiters will take your order promptly and are very friendly, attentive, and love to chat with you. Their drinks are pricey compared to other places nearby, but it's worth it for the atmosphere here. Definitely try the "Pimms Cup" drink - very refreshing on a hot summer evening. The "Fleur de Pear" martini is also very delicious and aromatic.
Come earlier in the evening and try to grab a seat around one of the ultra-modern fire pits outside. The lounge is open until midnight, but the outdoor area closes at 11 pm (to allow the hotel's guests to sleep, I suppose). I'm so glad a place like this finally opened up in the area! And there is no location for it more befitting than Claremont.

I LOVED this bar-ette. It's a small, quaint and warm-ish place. Its tangerine walls and white contrast are invigorating! Warm, and bright and welcoming and soothing and calm - all at the same time. Very well-done. I loved the bartender. She knew what was up, left and right and made me an excellent drink - their Violet Night. Worth every expensive penny!

They had an elegant fireplace that sat between the lounge and the lobby. It was dual sided fireplace and it was lovely. A similar one that was outside, was made from white and glass objects and could carry one's interest for hours. Sitting outside on a cool summer evening, sipping their creative drinks would be just as wonderful on a cold winter night, with adult hot chocolate or an excellent brandy - of which they have more than a few to choose from.

They have an interesting beer called Drop Top Amber Ale that I enjoyed a great deal and snacks that looked wonderful! I was sad that I had been out earlier and was too full to enjoy the tid-bits offered (in fact, I was at the Casablanca, across the street!). The especially interesting to me was the "Meat and Cheese" platter they offer - something I ate as a child ("cheese-n- meat") and was a great bit of yumminess in the mid afternoon.

All in all, the feel of the place was great. I enjoyed it and am hoping to get one of my girlfriends to come with me sometime! I'm so glad to see Claremont expanding in such a way. I hope to stay at this lovely hotel for my 2nd wedding anniversary, or perhaps anotyher important, romantic date in my life. Or just some average Thursday ;)

It was a fine place, an enjoyable place and a wonderful addition the New Village!
