Nice outdoor patio with plants and a waterfall. The indoor space is elegant with a hip, contemporary design. This was my first time at HOW and Chelsea our server treated us right. Very friendly, prompt, and professional. There are specials every day. I couldn't remember the specials on all 7 days but I remember Tuesdays are Taco Tuesdays, 4 tacos for $6.99, Fridays are fish and chips for $8.99 and Sundays there is meatloaf for around the same price. Crowd is a variety of ages from college age all the way up to people in their 50s and 60s. I liked that. I can't speak for other days but Tuesdays are pretty chill. It wasn't that busy so my friends and I could talk and actually hear each other. There was awesome top 40 music playing in the background but it was quiet so we could talk without having to raise our voices. It was a subdued, casual atmosphere perfect for a drink and wings after work. The boneless garlic wings were my favorite. Very flavorful without being spicy. The honey BBQ wings were good too. The wings are made for sharing. Curly fries were very good too. I tried the Dead Guy ale which was only $6.00 for a small which was still a good size. Good prices, great music, and ambiance. What a welcome addition to La Verne! I will be back! I would have given 5 stars if the wings were bigger. They're so tiny! Two bites and they're gone :(. I've had bigger elsewhere.
Review Source:I absolutely love this place. It's a great all around place for wings. The ambiance is fantastic. The dark wood and comfortable lighting almost feels tavern like, but the multitude of large flat screens make it a great place for watching sports. The entire restaurant is clean and inviting. The beer selection should be noted as well. The wings come in bone-in and boneless, and come in a multitude of tasty flavors. Aside from wings, the menu has great food that trumps a lot of wing places out there. Along with the atmosphere, great drinks, and amazing wings, the customer service is awesome. That's why this little hidden gem gets five stars in my book. La Verne isn't a normal pass through city, but if you're there, then House of Wings is worth a stop.
