Took my husband here for his birthday. We LOVE Mezon done the road and we love tapas so we thought this would be a good choice. WRONG... This place does not even compare to Mezon. We didnt like any if the flavors in our tapas. My sangria tasted horrible and my husband confirmed it was not good. My husbands mojito was Weak and tasted like juice. We even sent one of our tapas back it tasted so horrible. We will definitely stick with Mezon!  The only reason I gave it two stars is because the decor and bar were kinda cool. I'll be taking my husband back to Mezon tonight for a enjoyable tapas birthday dinner!

Good.  I was pleasantly surprised at Ibizia's tapas.  Comparatively they are on par with Barcelona restaurant, but they don't have the ambience or the finesse.  Knocking one star because the owner made conversation with each table multiple times except ours, which I found a little rude.

You can't go wrong when eating at a restaurant owned by Ignacio Blanco. Ibiza is consistently delicious, service outstanding and the wine selection is impeccable. You'd be doing yourself a disservice by not dining here. Here's a tip ask for the chefs tasting menu....Just be prepared to say when.

I've been to Ibiza in New Haven a few times, which is the more formal version of the Ibiza Tapas mini-chain.

Ibiza in New Haven is known for having some of the best Spanish food in the country, so it's no surprise that their casual off-shoots are excellent as well.

First off, let me be clear: this is THE new star in the Danbury area dining scene. I can't think of another restaurant that can touch it based on food alone.

The tapas range from amazing to merely good. They're fairly consistent, and none stood out to me as failing. There's an interesting mix, but I don't quite understand the delineation between "modern" and "classic" - sometimes it's puzzling why some clearly American-influenced tapas exist under classic.

There's a pretty eclectic mix, and they seem to fall under the category of Spanish-inspired or gourmet twists on casual American fare.

Out of the 8 tapas that I've sampled in a couple visits, absolute standouts are the grilled hangar steak, Queso Nevat con Higos, and the beef and oxtail sliders. All 3 were absolutely fantastic in their own way. Others were good, the only slight disappointment being the pork belly tapa. It had potential, but the pork belly was a bit overdone - perhaps too thin of a cut. You want it to be crispy on the outside, but melty on the inside. This one was just kind of dry overall.

The service has been OK. I'm not expecting a lot with the casual feel of the place. However, our waitress on the 2nd visit was borderline subpar. She left us waiting almost 15 minutes before getting us the check, and was generally difficult to communicate with.

With a few tweaks and issues ironed out (they're still new), I'm pretty confident this will be a 5-star offering.

Outstanding new restaurant (opened Jan 2013) in the Danbury area. We tried five tapas, and each was spectacular. I hesitate to recommend one over the others, but you MUST try the cerviche - best I ever had. The tuna empanadas, and goat cheese with figs and walnuts, are also a must try. The slow cooked ribs were accompanied by a delicious aioli, while the chorizo was perfect.
But don't stop at the food...try the well selected wine list, most from the Iberian pennisula. A good selection of tempranillos and grenache, with a few gems - like the Bobal Old vine. And try the tempranillo reserva!
Prices were very reasonable, and the ambiance, lighting and noise level were subdued and effective, making for a pleasant and enjoyable evening.
I usually like to try new restaurants, rather than going back to the "same old" - but I will be visiting this restaurant frequently!

What a great find!  Had dinner there last night and was very pleased!  Wonderful/friendly staff greets you as you arrive at the door!  The decor is very modern and fun, the tables/chairs are all very attractive as well.

The drinks are a big plus--I had the Red Sangria and it was loaded with fresh fruits and had a great refreshing flavor.  The tapas were wonderful as well-the Ceviche was by far the best of what we had-fresh and delicious!  The meat filled ravioli was very tasty as well!  I had the fish for my main meal and while it was very tasty my only complaint was that the portion was very small.

Can't wait to go back and try more of the Tapas!

My new favorite restaurant in the area.  Food was consistently excellent. Portions were generous for tapas; I thought it was priced better than similar type restaurants in the area and I found the food to be of higher quality. I found the dishes to each be unique and creative.  A lot of times I find places can be creative at the expense of flavor, and interesting ideas can end up bland or just off.  Not here.  Every dish was in perfect balance; both unique and flavorful.  While each dish was truly great, I'm a sucker for good pork belly and they do it right.  Deserts were incredible (had the pan chocolate and the chocolate croquettes).

Service was prompt and friendly.  Atmosphere was interesting and comfortable.  Interesting drink menu and a cool looking bar.  I enjoyed the classical guitar / Spanish themed music.  I loved that they give you a bottle of tap at the table so you never run out of water.  Whole night was a great experience.

    Will be back!

Just went here for the first time last night, enjoyed it so much I had to jump on Yelp ASAP!
You are first greeted with what has got to be the coolest door to a restaurant in all of Danbury, it definitely set the tone of the place right away. When you walk in, I swear you will think you just left CT and stepped into a NYC restaurant. The decor is stylish without overdoing it. Reds and black, right up my alley. We had to wait 10 minutes for a table, which was really not bad at all for arriving an hour before closing time on a Saturday night. The place was packed, as was the bar. I am a sucker for caipirinhas, so I ordered their passionfruit version, while my hubby and friend ordered the Pisco. While the piscos were a little lacking in volume, they were all delicious and strong. Second cocktail for hubby was the Key Lime Pie martini. Oh my YUM! Tastes just like the real thing. It was like a little taste of Key West.
Once seated by the very friendly owner, we proceeded to order 11 different tapas. Highlights were the ceviche, the avocado and beet crostini, and the beef and oxtail sliders on house made rolls served with au jus were amazing. Not one bad dish.
My only complaints would be that the music was a little too loud, making conversation a little tricky, and it was all club type music. I filled out the comment card stating that it would be great to hear some traditional Spanish music as well. Beautiful food, beautiful place, needs beautiful music. The waitstaff was super friendly, although not as attentive as we would have liked. But that was only for our glasses of wine, which we didn't mind waiting extra time for while we stuffed our happy faces.

First of all, I just had the best meal in a restaurant in Danbury in the last 20 years. This is by far the best restaurant in Danbury as well as within a 50-mile radius.  Fresh food, perfectly prepared, all served with care and expertise. Don't miss this!

Finally great food in the strip of mediocre restaurants nearby. If you are familiar with the sister restaurants located in Hamden and New Haven then you know that excellent quality Tapas can be found here. Ibiza is new and located in a nondescript building housing other restaurants. The sign should be out on Mill Plane Road soon so for now just look for the Chinesse Panda restaurant sign and go in the parking lot towards the rear.  You will see a wood door that is the entrance to this wonderful Tapas and Wine bar that offers great tapas such as a Skirt Steak, Loin of Pork, Lamb Ravioli and Cod Fish Fritters. I had all these and more this evening. Try the Hamburguesitas( sliders like you never had before) and the wines by the glasss to compliment your meal. The cocktails are all craft made with fresh squeezed juices, best mojitos around. Price is more than reasonable and the service is excellent. Go before the crowds descend on this place and make it impossible to get in. By the warm weather this place will be alive and packed with people that appreciate the quallity of food being served.
