Out-of-town guests; found this gem of a restaurant nestled in downtown Franklin thanks to fellow Yelpers.
For dinner, my fiance and I started with the Pate O The South, She-Crab Soup and two of Indigo's cocktails. The cocktails were average, the Pate rich and creamy. The Soup - more cream than crab.
For dinner, I got the grilled duck. Everything complemented well but nothing stood out as the "star" of the evening.
Why the four stars: the atmosphere was nice, service pleasant, parking was easy for a weekend evening; most importantly, I know I can come here, order just about anything off the menu and not be disappointed.
We had read several fine reviews suggesting restaurant. We arrived around 1:00 on Thursday. There were maybe 8 other people in the restaurant. We wanted to try the she-crab soup and pecan encrusted pork. They were out of both. Disappointed we ordered the fried mortadella and turkey wrap. We received our food at 1:45. The service was awful. The young lady would walk by our table never speaking. I finally asked about our food and she was snippy. The manager finally brought our food. It was good especially the mortadella but the wrap nothing to brag about. I was disappointed.
Review Source:This place is fantastic. Â It is rather expensive, but it's probably the best restaurant in the Franklin area. Â It is also one of the most upscale in the area as well. Â
The salmon is delicious, and the She Crab Bisque is to die for. Â This place is best suited for people with sophisticated palettes.
